I wont go into detail regarding the plot as ypu can easily find that in the same plaxe you found this. The story itself is simplistic, butnin a good way. Many dantasy writers try ajd add in so much detail that the story gets lost in it. There is a line where a writer can include just enough details to allow the readers imagination to take over and naturally fill in the rest. The writer has found that line and for the most part, stuck to it. I like that form of writing because when a writer adds in too many details, the story becomes dry and bland to me. The onky thing i did not like, personal preference, was the swapping back and foth between story lines of the "not quite main character" and the main character. I get why it happened as it falls in line with the main characters story later on in the story and explains why things happen as they did. Thats just my preference. I normally prefer having set character tha are together and just follow them the entire time, not jumping from here or there.

This was wonderfully written and definitely a FUN read! Took me back to my high schools days of literature class and reminding me how one day I wanted to be a writer!? Thanks for engaging my imagination and leading down a path I had forgotten about! Look forward to the next book with Jora and her friends!!!

Song of the Sea Spirit, Book 1 of Mindstream Chronicles by K.C. May is an intriguing book. Jora Lanseri has the uncommon skill to enter the Mindstream to witness any event in the past or present. She is starting her training as a Truth Sayer in the Order of Justice Officials. She is also getting ready to say goodbye to her friend, Boden, who is going to war. I gave it five stars because I found it captivating. Nuri had told Jora about a book called The Whispering Sea. Sadly the librarian believed it had been burned in a fire over twenty years ago. "Nuri's eyes widened and brimmed with tears. 'Oh. Oh, that's awful. My favorite book. That saddens me. Books from one's childhood are like dear friends.' "'I know. I'm particularly fond of a few myself. I'm sorry about your book.'" I look forward to reading the next Book, Call of the Colossus. I received a complimentary copy from the author. That did not change my opinion for this review.

I Enjoyed the Story very much. My Teenage Daughters and I are looking forward to the next Book. We can Hardly Wait!! There is just too much that can Happen. But. We will be disappointed if Our Heroin doesn't end up with a Happy ending with her Collassus Warrior!!! This book is Not a Love Story. Far from it. It is Exciting. Thrilling and full.of Magic. Twist and turns. From Good to Evil. Too much to Explain. But this is a Great Read for any Fantasy adventure Lover!! Thank you

Song of the Sea Spirit (The Mindstream Chronicles #1) by K.C. May Young Jora is supposed to marry and make sons for her husband. But she has a special gift, she can "Mindstream" (witness things from the past or future). One day she discovers she can communicate with a dolphin. This brings her joy , as she learns to communicate. She now has a reason to enjoy her life. Then two men show up and take her away from her home. They are training her to become a Truth Sayer. When she witness a crime, she must decide to keep the secret or do something about it. Soon her life and her whole world will be in danger. With the help of her dolphin friend, she begins to unravel the mystery of the Spirit Stones. And with this new knowledge she is putting herself in danger. I really enjoyed this fantasy story. Jora was very likable, and (I found) her communicating with the dolphin fascinating. The story was very original, not the usual fairies, vampires and werewolves. I truly loved the originality. And who doesn't love dolphins! I look forward to more in this series. I highly recommend to those who love fantasy (and dolphins!)
