Hidden in the gnarled grapevines, perched on a stone in the Mountain Cemetery, lurking behind the barrels of winery caves, there are things in Sonoma Valley that defy explanation. These short stories set in sleepy California wine country will keep you turning pages in curiosity, in dread, and even sometimes in amusement. Many of the tales fall into the genre known as Magical Realism, grounded in reality, but imbued with mystical elements. Evil may exist, but so do revenge and retribution, at least in fiction. Prepare to be haunted.
