I guess I don't exactly know what I was looking for, but oh dear. I just felt from the beginning that the man wasn't really sure what he was talking about, he rambled a lot, I saw the reviewer who wrote about the modern references used, although modern, not very relevant. I thought it was very disorganized with no clear purpose. As well I wouldn't put this in the "christian life" section, he rarely talks about God which was my main focus on purchasing this book, the soul crave of our lord. Sorry to say I didn't enjoy this book, maybe I was just expecting too much

This book answered so many questions. I would recommend it to everyone. The author wrote this book in a way that he makes it seem that he's speaking to you directly. The book is very easy to read and hard to put down. Our need for love and our deepest desires will start to make more sense after reading this book. Awesome book!

This book is split into three sections. I began with the last section first because it appealed to me the most. What I found was deep and far from the beaten path. It is full of great quotes from modern people, films and literature. The quotes are quirky, poetic and not boring. Soul Cravings is very insightful and could easily change your perspective on life.

I am about halfway through this book and i have to say i love it. I think the simplicity of the layout makes it inviting to read. The books design is simplistic and original which is a nice break from the norm of Christian writing. The way McManus breaks down the three sections of the book is brilliant. After reading the section on Intimacy I have a new perspective on why we as humans love and God's love for us. I definitely recommend checking this book out to anyone. It is easy to read and has great content, I will definitely be checking out other books by this author.
