OMG!!! I loved this book! I read and loved Soul Avenged, so when I found out the second book in the series was out I just HAD to read it.  And although I loved Soul Avenged I loved this book a LOT more!  I love the Sons of Wrath! If you like the Black Dagger Brotherhood books you will LOVE these books!  This book is Logan and Calla's Story. To be honest it started off a bit slow but after a few chapters in I was captivated.  I couldn't put it down. It was so good! I love the way Keri writes.  The first book focused more on Ayden and the lycans. And we got to see some of the brothers.  And I was already crushing on them! So when I found out this book was going to focus more on them I was excited.  Not only did we get Logan's Story but we got to learn little bits more about the other brothers.  This book had just the right amount of action and romance!  I can not wait for each of their yummy stories! I am hooked! I need more!

~Reviewed by ANGELA & posted at Under the Covers Book Blog As Cliche as it sounds, Soul Resurrected was a gripping read. It “gripped” my full attention from the beginning until the end. Ms. Lake has outdone herself making this series a solid addition to the Paranormal Romance Genre. Soul Resurrected is the second installment of Sons of Wrath series and it started shortly after the last book had ended. Ayden, Kayne and the Wrath brothers had stopped the Alexi and they are close to extinction. However, the aftermath of the chaos still lingers. Plenty of Alexis are still scattered about but the real threat lies in an even more deadly enemy. And this time, it’s Ayden helping the Sons of Wrath. To be honest there were things about this world that I have forgotten. But Ms. Lake did a beautiful job with the recap and reintroducing the Sons of Wrath along with Ayden and Kane. She did a great job with the world building as well. I think I was most drawn to that the most. She even had widened this world by adding more super naturals and a linear Demon world where Logan grew up in. I do have to warn readers of how graphic this novel is and it can get pretty gruesome. If you read the Soul Avenged, you know that Calla and Logan had a connection that was undeniable…emotionally and most definitely physically. Saving each other’s life can do that, no doubt. But that’s pretty much where there relationship kicks off. You would think they would start their relationship as easy as saving each other’s lives. Instead, they resented each other. Let me rephrase that Logan resented Calla. At first I just didn’t understand but in his defense there was a perfectly good reason for his annoyance. I almost didn’t like Logan because of his treatment of Calla. He was hurtful and demeaning and poor Calla, just took it all. Calla was such a contradiction of vulnerability and kickass heroine. As an Alexi, she was well trained to hunt and fight but when others treated her bad. She simply just took it all in. I was sometimes frustrated with her. But then again I don’t blame her as she just wanted to fit it. Her past wasn’t the prettiest but when she started standing up for herself, she starting earning my respect. She certainly started getting it from Logan. I enjoyed Calla and Logan’s story, they had a rough beginning but the end result was very romantic. I certainly want to see more of that from the rest of the brothers. Speaking of which, there are more brothers that was added to the story. Ferno and Maddox are back and they are taking their place right beside the rest of the Wrath Brothers. Ferno in particular intrigues me. Something about his persona and powers that just grabs my attention. But not as much as Zeke. He certainly made his presence in the beginning of this book. Just like in Soul Avenged, Zeke is ever so flirty. I just love that words that came out of that mouth of his. Then Ms. Lakes takes him out of the picture leaving me wanting more. What a tease! I do love that she gave this novel multiple POVs letting the readers get to know the main characters. Gavin and Calix also made their presence but as far as I know Gavin’s story will be next. I loved that I started reading this series from he very beginning. I feel like I’m witnessing the start of what I’m predicting to be an epic series. If you like a good PNR Read, Ms. lake will not disappoint you. *ARC provided by author

I got a copy in exchange for an honest review It took me quite some time to read this book, I don't often read books that are as long as this one. This book is darker than the first book, continues the story and makes me want to read even more and learn more about this dark and twisted world. When I picked up this book I was a bit disapointed I didn't have time to re-read book1, because book 2 picks up right after Soul Avenged ended and continues the story only from slightly different perspectives. This book focusses on Calla and Logan, but there are also other point of views and they kept me wondering who's story would be next, because there is so much going on and there is a lot of set-up for future books too. A lot happens in this book, not only because it's so long, but also because a lot of different things are going on and sometimes it was difficult to see how it all connected and some things only connect at the end of the book and some questions are still there, hoping for answers in future books. I realy liked Soul Resurrected, I really love Keri her writing style and once I picked it up I wanted to keep reading. Nevertheless this book had some slow moments and sometimes I got a bit frustrated because I couldn't see the significane (yet) of some of the things that happened. From the 50% mark the pace picked really up and I read the last half in 2 or 3 days, while I spend around 7 or 8 days reading the first half. Also Keri knows how to write some great sex scenes. This book is dark and violent and contains some disturbing scenes and some gruesome details I preferred to not have read, but in the end it's also about hope and love. I really liked the ending, it was beautifull and certainly not what I would've expected at the begin of this book. While I hard this book would be about Logan and Calla I had some of my doubt, I couldn't remember much about Logan from the first book and Calla was only a side character in book 1 and I had hoped this book would be about Gavin, because I am really curious to his story. When I started this book I had no idea how Logan and Calla would ever fall in love, Logan comes over as selfish and even a bit evil and crazy at first and I didn't like him at all. Calla was sweet, but also had her tough side and I actually wanted to wanr her away from Logan and hope she find some good guy somewhere else. Both characters really grew during this book. I had read a review before this which mentioned the character growth, but I hadn't imagined this. Due to the lenght of this book their relationship progresses slowly and also the changes are slowly, but at the end leaves you with 2 characters who developed and grew a lot. That's certainly one of the perks of a long book, their relationship developed believeable and slow. They grew and changed and it all feels real. Keri has created an awesome and wholesome world in this series and I just keep wanting to learn more and more and the snippets world building whoven throughout the story aren't nearly enough for me. I think this world is fascinating and I want to understand how it all works and how some storylines tie together and what the impact is of some things and I just want to know more. This book certainly answers a lot of my questions about the demons and it was great seeing this story from a demon's point of view and getting a more insider view on all things demon and supernatural. So this book in all adds a lot of world building, but I am still hungry for more. After reading this book I am still left with a lot of questions and when I saw the mention that the next book wil Gavin's book I am already looking forward to that one. Also there are so many things and storylines and plots set up in this book and I want to know how they all continue and develop. To conclude: I really enjoyed this book, keri sure knows how to write a great book. The first half felt a bit slow to me, partly due to not re-reading the first book which led to some confusion at the beginning and partly because this book is really long and the second half was paced faster. Also there are a lot of plot lines which not make much sense at the beginning, but later on things come together and start making sense more. I liked how Calla and Logan grew and developed in this book and how at the end I really liked both of them, which at the beginning I wouldn't have imagined. The world building is really well done and this book adds a lot from the demon perspective, although I am still hngry for more. All in all I really enjoyed this book (although I recommend you to(re-)read book 1 before starting this one) and I am realy looking forward to the next book.

It's no secret that when I read Soul Avenged, the first book in Keri Lake's Son's of Wrath series, I fell madly in love with Logan. Yeah, I admit it, book boyfriend crush. Don't judge. It's also no secret I didn't care for Calla – a minor character at that point. In truth, Logan and I shared the same opinion of her: weak. I certainly didn't want to see the two of them put together. Fast forward to Soul Resurrected. This is a dose of Logan that will make your skin tingle. If anyone can write demented, tortured soul, it's Keri Lake. More, she puts you right into their skin in a way that keeps you glued to the page to the detriment of family, dinner, sleep, and sustenance. And though I went into this book with a bit of trepidation regarding Calla, I came out of it with a sense of satisfaction. The transformation wasn't forced or contrived. As the story unfolded, it became clear there really was only one conclusion, but getting there…oh man! Hold on, you're in for a hella ride! And don't even get me started on the sub-plots--those tasty little bits and pieces that are thrown out like nibblets of dark chocolate just waiting to be savored. Though each book can be viewed as a stand-alone, they tie in with one another, a subtle weaving of tiny details that merge over time into a luscious, skillfully constructed tapestry. The Sons of Wrath novels aren't for the faint of heart. Powerful, bloody, sensual, and packed with a brood of alpha males the like of which will haunt your dreams for nights to come (in a good way), they occasionally touch on some very dark issues. But if you aren't squeamish, like a story that will sweep you up and carry you off, and understand the whole alpha male allure…well then, Soul Resurrected is a must read, and read again, and then read some more. I'm waiting anxiously for the next brother's story. Even more anxiously for Zeke's story, as he is my second favorite Wrath Son. *hint, hint*

SOUL AVENGED (see my five star review on my blog, Known to read) is such an awesome book and I was crazy excited to get to read it's sequel, SOUL RESURRECTED.  SA sets the bar really high and I've got to say, SR is every bit as good!  Keri Lake does such a great job taking a mystery and peeling off it's layers at just the right pace to keep a girl glued to her e-reader.  I gobbled SOUL RESURRECTED right up!   Since we meet both Logan and Calla in SA, it's safe to say a reader is already quite invested in these characters.  SR picks up right where SA leaves off -- thank goodness as we were left with quite a cliff hanger in SA-- and we are immediately drawn into this story.  The wild action and intense romance is perfectly balanced.  The plot is fantastic and I was holding my breath wondering how it would all work out.  Plus there is such a great romance between Calla and Logan -- both very sweet and steamy!-- and along with the depth of Calla and Logan's story, there are hints and story building going on for future installments.  Yay for a great read!  I can't wait to more of this series!!! I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.  See more of my reviews on my blog, Known to Read.

Sometimes I just love a really well written Urban Fantasy… Ok, well, who doesn’t, right? Keri Lake certainly delivers that with Soul Resurrected! I wasn’t able to get to Soul Avenged liked I had originally had planned, and I ended up jumping directly into Soul Resurrected. To be honest, I was lost. I couldn’t figure out who was who, and what they were doing and what was that thing again?? I was feeling very frustrated. But then, perhaps without me even realizing it, everything just clicked into place in my brain, and I was happily along for the ride.  Keri Lake is a local author to me, and this book takes place in the Detroit area. Granted, it’s not quite the Detroit I know… I mean, I only see beastly lycans around every few months, not every day. Err… um… anyway! It was really great seeing local places I know, it really enhanced the world building in my eyes. That’s just a little something extra, I think anyone feels when they read a book that takes place just around the corner.  Even if you are not from the area, you will definitely appreciate the world that Keri Lake has created for the Sons of Wrath. Soul Resurrected certainly has some moving characters, too. Logan and Calla are the main characters. Logan, I’ll be honest, took a while for me to warm up to him. He was just so gruff, and a bit mean at times. But that’s just who he is! And once you peel the layers, and you see beyond all of that, you will find a man that you will certainly be pining for! And Calla, at first she seemed so shy and meek, she reminded me of a mouse. But the woman has strength and courage, and it wasn’t long before I really loved her character too. The supporting cast is really something else, too. You get to meet characters from Soul Avenged (or reconnect, if you’ve already read it!) and there are some new ones too. Some of them definitely got on my bad side and stayed there, while others proved themselves over and over to be show stealers!  The action in this book was top notch! If you really love Urban Fantasy, then you will love this book.  There was a ton of action and drama, fight scenes, hunting and such.  These are the type of things I really miss in a lot of PNR type books. Keri Lake definitely has a talent for weaving everything together in a perfect combination, and not making the more violent scenes feel out of place but rather like they belong there.  Overall, I really enjoyed the book. I think I would have loved it a lot more if I had been able to get to the first one first, but after finishing this one, I will definitely be working my way backwards and then waiting on pins and needles for the next one, I’m sure!

Logan is forever haunted by his memories. He doesn't want anyone to know them and doesn't want anyone near him. He really doesn't want anything to do with Calla the Alexi who brought him back from the dead but he seems to be tied to her now. Calla has secrets of her own and everyone seems to be after her. She feels desire for Logan and that is the last thing she wants.  Both are being pulled closer into a battle with an ancient evil and need each other to survive. Logan is hateful, mean and can be a huge jerk. He will do anything for his brothers. At first you may hate him but when you see what all he has been through you begin to see why he is the way he is. He really is a demon with a horrible past. Calla has only wanted to keep her brother safe and been a pan all her life. Now when she can either be tearful or weak she takes a stand to be strong. She is drawn to Logan and doesn't understand why. She really becomes strong in this book and an amazing character. She will not be left behind and doesn't want to be considered weak. Where most would cower from the things she faces she does her best to stand strong. This is an amazing sequel. I strongly suggest reading the first book before reading this one so you know what has led up to this and because it is awesome as well. You get lycans, demons, incubus and so much more paranormal beings in this fantastic book. There is amazing fight scenes that make you fel you are in battle with them. An ancient that has come back that is really awesome. I know it's evil but the author does such an amazing job with all these characters. I love the demons as they kick ass but you also see how much they have suffered. You feel sorry for them and want to kick a little ass yourself. I know I would have for Logan. I look forward to seeing where the author takes this series as it is very addictive. You fall in love with some characters and hate others. If you love paranormal books with a great plot that keeps you dying to see what happens next pick this up.

If I could give this book more than 5 stars, I would!! AMAZING! I'm not real sure, but while reading it I might have agreed to letting my kids join a cult or something... I know there were conversations going on around me, but hell if I know what they were about! I really loved Soul Avenged, but this one just blows it out of the water! We get to know more about the Sons of Wrath, get to know more about their ways and rules, and best of all we get to see more about how they interact with each other! I cannot wait until the next book now!!! I am a full fledged Sons of Wrath lover border-lining on stalker!!! I won an ARC from the Author, and am more than happy to post an honest review!!
