All I can say is WOW!! This book isn't any thing like any of Andrea's other books. Andrea has done it again, she will take you on a ride in this one with some suspense and mystery along the way. I really can't say much without giving away the whole story, so I will say this was one amazing story and the characters were great. Sunny had a lot of things to deal with and for most females they would have buckled under all the pressure. Sunny did not and has to be one of the strongest female characters I have read in a very long time. You will go along on the journey with Sunny as she finds out who she is and just how strong one can be. I would definitely recommend this one.

If you are looking for intense emotion, you have found it here! This book will make you feel, and not all good either! In amongst the suspense and intrigue, are lessons to be learned, not taught, but lived. You will find a character (or few), who are easy to love, & those that you love to detest. Definitely a story that you won't want to put down until it is finished. Ms. Smith will be an Author that I will read more from. What a read!!

This book gave me a book hangover. Not your normal book from Andrea Smith. Sunny is counting the days down until she is out of high school and can leave her house. She hates her step father Avery. He is a minster at the local church. This takes place in the 70's at a small town. As time goes on their is something that Sunny feels is off with Avery. Her mother always takes his side on everything. As you dig into this book you will find not is all right in this town. Not is all what it seems. Their are lies half truths and deception beyond anything you can believe. This is a book you can't mis

Something dark and mysterious right off the bat! I was drawn in and it felt like I was right there, watching everything as it unfolded. Several jaw-dropping moments for sure!
