Another great read from Kaylee Ryan, keep them coming!!225 nook pgs. Again each chapter is either Aaron or Whitney's POV, which I really enjoy this style of writing. Aaron is big brother to Kinley, and uncle of Lexi, and best friend of Evan,( before Kinley an him got together). Aaron, Kinley and Evan grew up together an have family land that is connected, an do some business together. Whitney is heart broken over her mother's illness/death, needing a change in her life she moves to the state/town her cousin and the last of her family live. There she starts working for Kinley, where she meets Aaron. This story is a story that you need a kleenex box for, some conflict, steamy loving, and overall wonderful read.****

Aaron and Whitley have a fantastic friends to lovers story. Aaron knows when he meets the one he will just know, so why would he waste his time in a woman who wouldn't make the cut. Whitley's father left and her mother recently passed. She doesn't need another person to leave her heartbroken. What they end up with is something neither one expected. Kaylee is a long time just buy author for me, and even now I continue to re-read despite knowing what's coming. I highly recommend you check out this book!

As much as I loved Evan and Kinley, I kept thinking about Aaron through out their story. His outlook on love seemed kind of warped, and I knew it would take a special woman to change his mind. Enter Whitney. She brought with her the kind of baggage that makes you want to cry. She is so strong, and determined to keep her distance at the beginning, that Aaron is forced to get to know her slowly. Before you know it, BAM! Love hits Aaron in the face, and Whitney isn't far behind. Her past comes back to haunt her, and Aaron shows her he is strong enough to love her through it. Beautiful!

This is the first time I have read anything by this author and I am going to be sure to look at her other work! I really enjoyed this sweet, heart wrenching story about finding love and allowing others to love you! Whitney has had a tough journey in life and moves to Kentucky to be with the only family that she has left. She leaves behind her home she grew up in and leaves behind her best friend because she needs a new start. She now has her dream job of being a photographer that captures memories and moments rather than the commercial photography that she had been doing. Whitney is working with an amazing photographer that has her own studio on the family farm. Whitney and McKinley immediately strike up a friendship as well a great working relationship. Then she meets McKinley’s handsome older brother Aaron and she is smitten. He is the ultimate sexy and sweet cowboy. But Whitney has a secret and she has a cloud hanging over her life. Aaron is running the family farm since his dad has retired. He is still living at home with his parents until he is ready to start building his dream home with the woman that will be his forever. He hasn’t been too successful in his search. He is busy running the farm and he feels like he will know her when he meets her and has passed by many a prospect because if the spark isn’t there, he moves on. His sister McKinley keeps telling him that he needs to give the girls he dates a chance, not one and done. Until he meets McKinley. There is just something that speaks to him. This isn’t an insta-love connection. They have great chemistry, but Aaron takes it slow. He courts her and gives her time, as he knows that Whitney is recovering from a deep loss. Whitney wants to take it to the next level, but Aaron keeps it slow and steady. He knows that there is something going on with her, but he can’t get her to open up. Everyone should have an Aaron in their life! If you like a charming southern cowboy hero and a broken, but vulnerable heroine. A story with sweet heat, a heartbreaking twist and a love that concurs all, this book is for you! I highly recommend Aaron and Whitney’s love story. I truly look forward to more by this author.

Southern Desire is book two in the Southern Heart Series. We first met Aaron in Southern Pleasure as the oh so sexy brother of McKinley and Evans best friend. Mr. picky wants it all just like his sister and Evan, but he believes when he finds "the one" he will know immediately and has never really given any woman a chance until Whitney. Whitney was a game changer for Aaron. The tragedy of losing her mother to cancer brought Whitney to Kentucky to live with her only remaining family. What she didn't expect was to fall for an amazing cowboy and gain more family and friends than she could've ever dreamed of. Whitney's fear of "what if" just may destroy the relationship she never dreamed she'd find. Kaylee Ryan will have you falling harder and loving this book more with each turn of the page. Be prepared for emotional overload. You will cry and feel every ounce of the pain and love. Arron is what all men should be and his family shows what true unconditional love is. Whitney and Arron's relationship is something special. I loved this book so much that I've read it three times. Southern Desire is a five-star must read!!
