I met Carole at the Barnes & Noble book signing in Alpharetta, Ga. Saturday. She was very fun to talk with. I started reading the book Saturday night and could not put it down. I have never laughed so hard at a book. If you have a family get together coming up you have to get the book and read before going. You will see exactly what the book is all about. I swear she was talking about my family!!!!!

If you are from the south as I proudly am you will recognize the people the author is writing about. They are either your own kin or your friends. Sometimes all you can say to these people is "well bless your heart". If you're southern you've got to read this book, it will make you laugh.

I enjoyed this book thoroughly. Started reading it on Friday night, and was (sadly) finished on Sunday...spent my whole weekend buried in it! The Author Carole Townsend has a delightful way of seeing the world through a true Southern Lady's eyes. I was born and raised in Georgia, and can so relate to her observations. Down south we just have a different way of doing things. And Mrs Townsend's ability to capture those differences in such a smart and funny way, really brought a smile to my face. If you're a fan of Lewis Grizzard, Fannie Flagg, or even to a lesser extent Jeff Foxworthy, do yourself a favor and pick this one up.

Completely boring! The author tries to be clever and funny, but falls way short. For the review to even attempt to place this author in the league of Erma Bombeck is disgusting. Bad humor writing is painful to read.

While not bad. This book is not original or all that amusing.
