As the other reviewer implied this novel had all the material to be eally good. However, the author rushed thru scenes and at time left the reader hanging when she simply stopped descibe a scene as if hse lost her train of thought so.she went onto another thought. The time sequence were all over the place and there were unecessary characters brought in that were stereotypes i.e voodoo women in caribbean and New Orleans. And the rush to end the story!! Why bother publish a book even if for 99 cents if you dont have the ending? I'm left wary about reading any other books this author might print as I'm leary she just can't write a cohesive story forme to enjoy. So whomp!

I enjoyed the premise of the story. Country star is attracted to chef catering his wedding. However, there were so many ups and downs that took away from the simplicity of the storyline. After about 100 pages, I lost interest with the romance going back and forth so many times. Also, the book was only 152 pages.

The storyline was good but soon the plot became bogged down in unfinished and/or unnecessary events and characters with no resolution (Natalie, Shane, arson, Farrah's publicist's). At first I found the key characters quite likable but as I read further, there were some things that didn't ring true. I began to dislike Austin; especially when he sat back and allowed Farrah to take the brunt of certain events they both caused. One minute he is professing his undying love for Farrah but when things "hit the fan", allowed Farrah to face it alone. As for Farrah, for me she started out as this strong woman then turned jnto this extremely submissive marshmallow. She started out owning her own business to allowing Austin to plan every bit of their lives, down to their wedding and her wedding dress. It's as if she gave up her identity. Though not as bad as I've seen in other books, there were some clerical issues throughout the book and the constant repetition of Farrah's fear of commitment, and other events became a bit tedious. I would have given it one star but as I mentioned, it was a good storyline and the first part of the story kept me interested enough to continue reading. I wish the author would have spent more time completing issues rather than restating facts we had already read.

I liked the book. I have to admit that the separation of the two lovers from one another was drawn out, and there were things that could've been left out (i.e. the voodoo women, the trip to the islands with Shane, the argument with Natalie, trips to the cabin, etc). The aftermath of their affair was alot and all over the place. I'd read another book in the series just to see how it comes together. For a bwwm book I was pleased that it had some substance.
