This novel is definitely one of a kind!  I was absolutely in stitches through the entire first chapter of this novel.  Louellen captured my heart and my attention with this and kept it throughout this uniquely original tale.  The story that she shares with her readers is simultaneously down to earth and thought provoking, while also being completely unbelievable at times.  And not unbelievable in a ‘that would never happen’ way, but rather in an ‘oh my goodness, can you just picture it’ type of situation.  The plot is well developed and multifaceted, allowing readers to visit this small town and really get to know the players.  Everything is developed in such a manner that I didn’t only enjoy this novel, but also can’t wait to read the sequel. The real & realistic yet unique characters in this novel stand out without being completely out of the ordinary.  Louellen writes about the type of people that you instinctively want to know, while at the same time making them the type that you wouldn’t necessarily encounter in your everyday life.  The contrast (and clashing) of personality types makes you feel like you’re actually part of the story.  The variety of dialects that can be felt through the dialogue really sets the characters apart.   This is definitely a well-developed, unique, intriguing, enjoyable read.  Louellen takes her readers through the ups and downs of life in a comical manner, while at the same time giving us a dose of red hot romance that you won’t soon forget.   Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

Southern Hospitality by: Amie Louellen I enjoyed this contemporary romance by Amie Louellen , and I caught myself laughing out loud a few times. I think she can write about any genes you would want. Yankee reporter Roxanne heads to Memphis, but her car breaks down in the middle of no where, a sleepy town in Jefferson County, Tennessee. She ends up being a suspect and arrested for murder. Her phone don't work in this out of the way town. Malcolm Daniels is assigned to be her attorney. Will he get her out of jail or will she go to prison for the rest of her life? Daniels is not a bad looking lawyer. What kind of a lawyer is Daniels to be in this town? Something happens at the jail and Daniels has to find Roxanne a place to stay for the weekend. Everything is closed up or gone fishing. Roxanne is a stubborn person, but she wants out of jail. Can she trust Daniels to get her out of jail so she can be on her way to Memphis. There are some sparks that fly between these two. Be sure and get your copy to find out more about Roxanne. I was given a copy of this book by the author for my honest review, which I have given.

Roxanne Ackerman's car breaks down and before she knows it she is a murder suspect! Malcolm Daniels has been assigned to be her attorney and must "babysit" her for the weekend while the jail is being fumigated. But sparks begin to fly between this unlikely pair. What will happen come Monday morning when Malcolm tries to get the charges dropped and Roxanne must return home? Amie Louellen is an expert at creating characters who the reader instantly falls in love with. Her stories are character-driven and I often found myself thinking about Roxanne and Malcolm even after the story was over. She is also the only author I have ever read who can make me laugh out loud while reading a book. I have read all of her contemporary romances and they never disappoint! I recommend this book to everyone.
