She grew up living the life of a tomboy – climbing trees, playing ball, and excluding starry-eyed romance from her daily repertoire. Brenda discovered the love of books while taking her son to Story Hour at the local library -- she was hooked. She set an ambitious goal and began work on her first novel. She continued to write six more novels in rapid succession. She figured having the same birthday as Ernest Hemingway couldn’t hurt.

She is a member of RWA, NINC, PAN, PASIC, and Outreach International Romance Writers.

Her books have been printed in several languages and her last book “Southern Seduction” written under the name of Alexandria Scott was printed in Russian.

I like her writing style. The book was really good in the beginning, towards the end It had a few problems for me. After they married and go on on there Web honeymoon that's when the book just fell apart. Like when he finds out she was a former whore. He wanted to call out the guy who on called her that but when he confronts her..he forgives and he had no emotions at all. ( like being mad) then his mother does everything to break them up and yells at his wife but they so easily forgive. Then when she gets pushed from the boat.. he thinks she left him. (Really, jumps ship) then she comes back after a month thinking he could have pushed her. Let's just say the reunion was different.. not at all what you would expect with people who are in love. I just expected more was lacking for me. I didn't feel there connection. They had a better connection in the beginning of the book when they hated each other..and there was no epilogue. .this auther had potential but the book fell flatt towards the end. The beginning was so good and it drew me in..wish she could rewrite the honeymoon part.
