About the Author

I began writing spanking stories in my 20's long before there were word processors. While most of my stories are strictly from my imagination, some of them are embellishments of spankings that I was aware of in my neighborhood or at school. This was back in the 1950's and 1960's when it was common for parents to spank (although mine didn't) and for schools to use corporal punishment.
As I became older I researched corporal punishment around the world and broadened my knowledge so that I was able to write stories that were beyond my own experience.
In the age of the internet, people are now being able to anonymously share their experiences growing up and I will be able to draw on those interviews to continue to write.

The product detail states that this is a beautifully written story, and for once I can fully agree. It really does read as if a young teen-age girl is writing this as the events happen...the language is clean, descriptively clear and reads as if it could have happened. The frequent punishments are vivid and easily imagined....the school life flows and the growing boy/girl friendship gradually developes into sexual awareness in a very natural way. There is nothing smutty, and how pleasant to read of intimate body parts described decently...a delightful lack of four letter words. It just goes to show that a sensual story can be written to please the senses without crudeness. So, if you enjoy plenty of spankings...and the exclusion of sexual parts being 'described' in four-letter anglo saxon words....buy this with confidence.

I liked this book. My grandmother grew up in England and experienced some of the things that Mary experienced in Somerville so it was great to be able to pub myself back in time. Mary's character goes from a naive immature girl to a woman in the space of four years and Stonefox does a very good job of writing that transition. Of course the book is about spanking and Stonefox does a wonderful job describing the settings where they take place and the feelings that Mary has whether she is on the receiving end, watching it, or even administering it. Highly recommended for the genre.

Even though this book is set in Massachusetts, it was truly inspired by the old British tradition of corporal punishment where the cane is used to correct the behavior of students.  It is very well written and a must read for those interested in school discipline.
