'Sparrows' is a spectacular sequel to a spectacular debut. It has everything one could want from a fantasy novel including a large, varied cast of three-dimensional characters; ample, laugh-inducing mischief and mayhem; truly gut-wrenching drama that is surprisingly relatable even though the book is fantasy; a sweet, non-idealized romance you can root for; and enough twists and turns to keep you guessing until the end. Every time I thought I had the plot figured out I was totally wrong! Laura Mae is truly gifted and she just keeps getting better. I can't recommend this book enough. BRAVO!
