An innocent summer holiday turns out to be anything but for Athene and her younger brother, Zach, when they find themselves caught up in a skirmish between two groups of gnome-like creatures: The Humble Gloam live above ground and get along with humans; the Low Gloam live below ground and despise everyone. But when Zach stumbles into Low Gloam territory, Athene disguises herself to rescue him--and discovers a secret that could bring the two Gloam tribes together--if it doesn't tear them apart first.

I do not reccommend this book. The storyline was flat and it seemed like the characters really weren't very developed. It doesn't make any sense to just hate someone for no reason. Plus, it was annoying there were no quotation marks, at first I thought it was a mistake. I actually read this book in 27 minutes because half of it was so boring so I just scimmed through the pages. Anna Dale disappointed me after being so.excited to read this book. As I said before I do not reccommennd this book! -TheAbsolGaming PS If you wanna chat with me, friend me on roblox, my username: TheAbsolGaming.
Meet Athene and Zach, two siblings that have names that are different by a whole alphabet! Suddenly, Athene's wish comes true- her brother Zach is far away. Or is he? She soon discovers that her brother isn't gone. He was sent to the dormitory of the Low Gloam! These are creatures that loath humans. With the help of her friends, the Humble Gloams, they embark on an amzing journey to help save Zach! I highly reccomend this magical book!
