Shortly after his arrival in the small town of Porterville, Texas, Jack Nelson meets a stranger who claims that they've been friends for over a month. A waitress in the diner across the street from his motel recognizes Jack and tells him that he's been eating at her restaurant for two months.
When Jack discovers irrefutable evidence that the last several months of his life have been erased from his memory, he begins to suspect that he's a subject of a mind-manipulation experiment conducted by a secret organization. Why did they choose him? What's the ultimate goal of the experiment? Are they going to dispose of him in the end?
His investigation into the dark secrets of Porterville is complicated by the disappearance of his friend Alice Briggs, who he believes invited him to this town. Jack soon realizes that he can trust no one. As he slips further into delusion, it's up to his wife to bring him back to sanity. To do this, she'll have to confront a powerful evil entity thriving on death and human suffering.

Another home run from Author Tim Kizer I have become a huge fan of author Tim Kizer, this being the third book in his vast collection of thrillers and suspense books that I have had the opportunity to read. Like all the first two books I’ve had the chance of reading, “Spellbound,” does not fall short of perfection. From start to finish I was enthralled and taken aback by the world and mind of Author Tim Kizer. Porterville, Texas takes the center stage and acts that the new playing field for this taut web of suspense Kizer has created. The main character Detective Jack Nelson is developed to perfection with a deep POV that will enthrall the imagination and have you walking along side him the entire time as he walk through trying to put together the pieces of what is amiss. In short, nothing is as it seems and there are endless twists that had me guessing around every turn. Words that best describe this book to me are: Gripping, Suspenseful, Nail Biting, and Original in a well written mysterious way that will leave you begging for more. Can’t wait to get my hands on the next novel from author Tim Kizer and vote 5 stars for “Spellbound.”
