Charlie and Brina, a female fae warrior with attitude to spare, are in the Demon Realm, hoping to rescue Charlie's Uncle Isaiah. He's being held prisoner by his own mother, the Archdemon Naberia, the very same demon who intends to bring a world-ending war to the Mortal Plane in order to destroy her long time enemies, the fae. Disguised as musicians, they journey toward the Citadel where his uncle is being held, battling everything from bureaucracy to brutes to music critics, making enemies, but also finding surprising allies along the way.

But the biggest surprise is yet to come—a situation that could throw his world into chaos and split his allies apart. Yet in the midst of this confusion, Charlie must flex his mental and magical muscles and convince ancient warriors that he has the skill and the power to lead them against the most dangerous creature ever to wander the three realms.
