This book causes you to feel so many emotions and keeps you flipping the pages. I felt like I couldn't read fast enough. Such a great story with really good twists.

This was a great read, and I'll definitely be reading more books by this author. I laughed, cried and stayed up past 3am because I couldn't put it down.

This is the first book I've read by this author and it will not be my last. This book will have you laughing, crying, shaking your fist and reading until 3 a.m. to see what happens.

Great story line. Ready to read next book in series. This book takes on an emotional roller coaster that you don’t want to get off. A must read!!!

What an amazing story. I listen to the audio and followed along in the book, though the whispersync did not work with this book but I kind of wonder if that is not amazon’s fault. I find that happens a lot. The narrators did a wonderful job. I fell in love with Arrow. He was this hot sexy carrying college man. He had a big heart though I am sure he did not feel like he did sometimes. I can not blame him from feeling selfish when it came to Mia. The heart wants what the heart wants. Mia was a sweet girl but I felt she was not only being unfair to herself but to Brogan as well by leading him along. She might of been with Brogan but Arrow had her heart. There are some pretty sad parts in this story and cried through some of it, some heartfelt parts and, some pretty steamy parts as well. My heart broke for Arrow. The guilt he carried with him. He was destroying himself over this guilt. There were so many lies and these lies are destroying so many people. Funny how the truth can set you free. I am glad I took out time to listen to this story.

2.5 stars — This rating does not reflect the writing whatsoever…I actually highlighted a lot of this book, b/c I think Ms. Ryan writes beautifully and presents things in an interesting manner. Unfortunately, while I’ve enjoyed the one other book I’ve read by her, I don’t think I have the patience for the types of stories she prefers to write. Which is mostly to say that I have problems with moral ambiguities, and quite honestly, that’s a large chunk of what makes up this book, and consequently what bothered me about this book. I will note that at about 60% I just gave up and started skimming to get some answers. What’s funny is that I would catch on certain passages, read them, and I even cried a bit…and yet I didn’t really like the characters, or basically any of the decisions they were making. So how Ms. Ryan managed to drag feels out of me, I’m not sure I will ever understand. I will also note that I ended up having a very interesting conversation with my husband about the book, and cheating and friendships and all that shiznit…so it did provoke thought. I just don’t enjoy that kind of thought I guess. So what went wrong. Well, first of all — one of my button issues is cheating. I HATE it, and it would take a REALLY SPECIAL CASE for me to handle it in a book. It’s just a personal thing. And while what happened in this book is not the normal cheating, it was a bunch of technical edge case stuff that just wasn’t cool with me. It wasn’t a love triangle in the normal sense, b/c you always knew who Mia was meant to end up with — Arrow. But that’s not who was her boyfriend for a chunk of the book, that would be Arrow’s best friend Brogan. Now I totally get that this shouldn’t be a surprise given the blurb…but I guess I expected a different set of edge cases than the ones I got. I’m so sorry I’m not making sense, but I really don’t want to do spoilers. All I can say is that I wasn’t OK with how any of the three of them handled the relationships they all had with one another. I get that we’re all human, and that they’re younger, but even if there was no physical cheating based on technicalities, there was a crap-ton of emotional cheating IMO, and that’s just not cool with me. And I didn’t appreciate the way the author conveniently arranged events to almost let people off the hook. There was guilt, but I just didn’t feel the regret I wanted to…I didn’t feel the consideration for friendships and the like. And I didn’t like some of the behavior that surrounded that whole complicated thing, where excuses were made. GAH, I’m going to stop, b/c this is not helpful to anyone. Anyways. So it wasn’t just that whole thing. I also didn’t appreciate the circumstances surrounding the accident. The mystery, the coverup, people NOT DOING THE RIGHT THING. GAH! NO!!! People DIED! I just can’t even with the decisions made there. And there were just so many convenient excuses that tried to make it OK, but it wasn’t OK for me. I won’t get into the who (though I had a feeling early on what the twist was going to be), but it involved drinking and driving (and now that I think about it, multiple cases), and that is a personal button for me as well. So I didn’t handle ANY of that well either. So those are the major plot elements that DID NOT WORK FOR ME. On top of that, I was conflicted on our characters. Mia was yet another heroine that we are hit over the head with how beautiful she is, but I’m not entirely sure what else these

I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either. It was less about sport and more about s murder mystery. I just found myself flipping through a lot of it just to finish it. Just seemed to drag on too much. I did not mind how it went from past to present. I'm not sure ill read another in the series, it just didn't interest me as much.

Great story with deep emotion. I found it hard to follow though with skipping around timelines and her view/his view. If I had time to just sit and read it all the way through maybe. But with only 30 mins here, 20 mins there I felt like i was in a continuous game of "gossip " trying to figure out who knew what and who was remembering at the moment. I couldn't get too emotionally connected because of that.

This book was ok. It had a great storyline. The characters were great and they had great chemistry. But the story jumped from past to present too much. I kept losing track of the details. Also i felt that Mai and Arrow played hard to get too much. They danced around their feelings for each other throughout the entire book. It got annoying. They could have just been honest with each other from the beginning. And also there were a few loose ends. Why did Mia's mother take them with her? What happened to Trish and Coach? Did Mia fix her relationship with her mother? It left too many unanswered questions. But overall it was a good book, sweet and romantic.

A slow build up with an over simplified ending. Almost boring.

Arrow is reeling from all the changes going on in his life. He is on house arrest. He is in love with someone he has to see everyday. He cannot tell her how he feels. And it is killing him. Mia has a lot go on as well. She took a job from her father's enemy. She is trying to get through school. She is also dealing with the man who makes her hot sleeping next door. These characters are really hot! This story makes me want to cry and scream all at the same time. I was pleased with the banter, heat and pace. I cannot wait to read more in The Blackhawk Boys series.

Love the story and building of characters, very well written and I love how you get go know the past but not everything all at once so you're on the edge of the seat, but you also get to know what's happening now too.

So much going on/ So much hurting to heal. The way the book is divided up - chapters for Mia, chapters for Arrow, sections before the accident, sections after the accident. It was all really well done. I could FEEL everyone's pain and angst and the good moments, too, I have never read anything else by this author and was very impressed. I will definitely get more of her books to read.

Lexi Ryan is such an amazing writer. Love her books and always wait anxiously for yet another one. She writes with so much raw emotion and her characters have so much depth that I just get completely immersed. I can't wait for the next in this series to come out.
