After reading First Light Chronicles, I went back and bought all the rest of the related books, including this one. More details emerged about Jonas Valent and the copy on a framework Jacob Valance, how they came to be and what had happened to Jonas after he gave his life for the First Light crew to escape.

I've read every book in this series, you can't go wrong with any of them. A must read if you like the sci-fi catigory. They don't list it but each book is over 500 pages that you don't want to put down! Cannot wait for 7 which has been a long time wait! My anticipation is bursting...

For fans of the space opera genre, it's a good fun read. If you decide that you like the series and want to purchase other titles, be careful. Both "Resurrection" and "Awakening" are available as separate titles, so it's not difficult to duplicate your purchase. B&N could fix this by providing complete titles to those who shop through their Nooks.

If I didn't know better, I would have thought that this was written by a completely different author. The first book (Broadcast 0) was well written, well edited, and had a style that had me looking forward to the remaining entries of the series. This book, Broadcast 1 & 2, was poorly written, horribly edited (if at all) and didn't carry the same style. The same verve. I'm glad I didn't spend much to get it, and I'm not sure that I'll be buying the rest. Shame, though, because it had promise and a great premise. It just failed to deliver on the basics (like spelling, grammar, and other things like knowing when to use "than" instead of "then") once it started getting into my pockets.

Likeable characters. I'd be happier if the book had seen an editorial desk with a bit more respect for grammar, spelling, and punctuation. An editor might have helped maintain the integrity of the story line better, too, but all in all the characters and plot are enough to keep me coming back for more.

After reading this one, I can't wait to read the next book in the series. Great writing.

This is one of my FAVORITE Series. This book-combo was great, and I read it within a couple of days. I just found out I could read my Nook at Middle School, so I'm reading the series daily. The way Randolph writes... Its AMAZING. I love the qualities of his thoughts, and how it is all based on things that could very well be in our future. Every bit of this book made me want to read more, and no part of the series have I found boring. I love it.

Love this world. On to the other episodes.

Every book in the series is very well written. There are a few missing words and some words repeated (throughout the entire series) that were overlooked by the proofreader. But if you are just scanning and not reading EVERY word it's easy to miss. But I also grew up in a print shop so I'll notice things like that w/o trying to.

99% of the characters in the first book are gone. This is the way to write a series? Not for me! It may be a fine book, but I was looking for continuity with the first book. After reading the sample, I decided to drop this author.
