About the Author

By profession, I’m a technical writer, computer geek, and ex-interior designer. I’m good at two out of three of these things. I had the sense to quit the one I sucked at. That’s how I currently support myself. To deal with my mid-life crisis, I’m also writing adventure novels featuring a middle-aged female protagonist. And I’m learning to kickbox. This seemed more productive than indulging in more typical mid-life crisis activities like getting a divorce, buying a Harley Crossbones, and cruising across the country picking up men in sleazy bars. Especially since it’s winter most of the months of the year here. It’s much more comfortable to sit at my computer. And hell, Harleys are expensive. Come to think of it, so are beer and gasoline. Oh, and I still love my husband. There’s that. I’ll stick with the writing.

I like this series. It helps to read all of the previous books first as they do build upon each other. I am glad they are finally dealing with her PTSD.

Imagine Aydan/Storm living at a hippy commune, in a tent, with little electricity, in a rain forest on Vancouver Island, B.C. And the adventures begin. A great story I highly recommend!

First of the series that I did't finish. The commune theme was so silly and it got old real fast. Gave up after 200 pages. The relationship with Arnie irritates me so I'm done with this series.

Love aydan's character! Hilarious & down to earth. Has doubts about herself as a capable agent but always comes thru with grit & savy. While aydan always seem to feelthat hellhound is the one that needs her most, kane is the one that might break under the horrible suffering he has seen

Very different plot feel from the earlier books since Aiden is pretty much on her own for most of the book, but it is just as awesome as the earlier book and our favorite guys do come into the action. Ms Henders always manages to bring plot twists that make the stories even more irresistible. When Stemp told Aiden about his parents at the end of the last book, I couldn't wait to meet them. They were delightful from beginning to end.

I really enjoy this series! I wished it had been longer. It was a page turner.  I had a hard time going to sleep til I finished it. It took me a little bit to get into but not long then I couldn't put it down. If you like spy stories with a woman lead you'll, you'll like this series. Can't wait for the next one.

As usual a fabulous book. I didn't enjoy it quite as much though. The Earth Spirit stuff got old it was repeated so often. Wish Adayn had more time with both men, but it did have some fun surprises.

This was one of those books that kept me engaged from page 1. And that meant, I was up until 2:30am finishing! I can't get enough of Aydan and her guys. I do hope that she gets a little more alone time with John next time. My only disappointment was that I have to wait until the end of 2015 to see what she gets into next!

Just the right amount of spy, sex and good old mystery.... way to go.... girl power.

It took me a bit to recall the storyline because I have been away, but once I did it grabbed my attention. It was good getting to know Stemp a bit better & realize the apple didn't fall far from the tree! W/the usual tangles, twists & turns tying Ayden into knots was entertaining. I have to admit, the community threw me for a bit. It was a...unique situation even as the undercurrents began to flow. Anyone old enough to remember the '60s will recognize it. And some people are so lost in their lives, they will latch onto anything that gives them a warm fuzzy! Although we don't hear so much about the "peaceful" communes, they are out there--some, like the Earth Spirit (Guaia). Another good one, Diane!

Such an excellent plot twist - not expecting this at all, but really enjoyed it! Aydan's smart and is a survivor. Very interesting branching off of the storyline. Well done.

Love the books. Finally we get some more information on Stemp. There were some parts in this book where I just had to laugh and had to wait to get it together again. Aydan always comes out on top even when she thinks she messes up.

I got the first book in the series as a free one. Loved it so much I ended up purchasing all the books in the series! A good read.
