Lame. Tired of Star Trek bashing people of faith. I know few people of faith who actually think and act like the people Mack describes in the Treishya party and its Andorian allies. Perhaps Mack should get some logic of his own instead of relying on simplistic characterizations of people and their beliefs and overgeneralizations. He uses one Andorian to make the case that faith is a superstition and, though I don't agree with the Andorians who do make faith-based arguments, I can't believe that Mack couldn't have found a better and more nuanced way of presenting the argument. Star Trek authors seem to fail to realize that we now live in a postmodern era when faith, spirituality, and religion are in vogue once again. It would be nice if they caught up with the rest of society.
