Juan's budding romance with Magi Gregori is brought to a sudden halt when Stan, Gregori's childhood friend and former lover, arrives unexpectedly at the ranch. Their romance is threatened completely when Stan makes it clear that he wants Juan gone and is not above using any means necessary to make sure it happens. Caught in the middle, Gregori must choose: the old flame or the promise of a new fire.
This book is not stand alone and must be read as part of the Sumeria's Sons series.

Poor Gregori and Juan. We learned some of why Gregori doesn't allow many close to him but I hoped with Juan, he'd finally opened up. But Stan is being a real jackwagon about his past with Gregoiy which we get a closer look at what happened and how much the preceding event with Karen and then the sex with Stan hurt Gregori in the end. But ever since that unwinding of a spell by Tristan, Stan has been acting like a fool which has made Juan give Gregori space thinking that's what he needed, but it hurts Gregori. We learn a lot more about the circumstances of Gregori's birth and true "gift"....which shattered my heart and has made me hate Gregori's father as much as I hate the Servants Of The Glorious One. I'm intrigued to see if there will be a third Magi book to the series as well as who else will be in the circle with Gregori and Juan, plus their roles within the group. Hopefully the circle will be established before anything bad happens to dear sweet Gregori
