This was the best out of the 3 books. Bell and Luke were really good for each other and great together. It was the most natural of the three and if I were to guess this would be the authors favorite based on the feeling I got reading it. I will say that the side stories were a little far fetched but its a book, you're allowed to "live" outside of the box.

This book was so good. I was immediately pulled in and captivated by Bellamy Carmichael. She is a personal trainer, that has a painful past that she has been trying to avoid for six years. Finally getting the courage she decides to head home to face her past and hopefully get some closure. I love Bellamy, she is so likeable and tough to boot. Luke Carter is a friend of Bellamy's family and after one hot night together six years ago he can't get over Bellamy. Not wanting to ruin the friendship he has with Bellamy's brothers he tries to steer clear of her. Not because he doesn't want to, but because he is worried about his friendship, yeah or getting murdered by her brothers, lol. These two had such amazing chemistry. I love both our hero and our heroine. I also really enjoyed the banter between all of the characters. It was a very good book and I didn't want to put it down! It has everything you could want in a book: romance, second chances, suspense, and comedy. I would recommend this book to a friend.

Absolutely loved it!  I was hooked from the start.  I love it when a story flows just right and characters and events jump into that flow and ride throughout the book.  This book starts out with Bellamy's crush on her older twin brothers' best friend Luke.  What's great is the story line is not totally dependent on their relationship.  Things happen outside of their relationship and it makes the story that much more complete.  My heart breaks for Bellamy and later for Luke.  More than once I was brought to tears by their heartbreak.  Both of their parents are amazing!  They set the best example for their children.  So much love in this story.  There was also fear, friendship, loyalty, heartbreak, sadness, loss, and most important was the sense of family.  By blood or by heart, there was always family.  Standing ovation for you Evan Grace.  BRAVO!!!  I can't wait to read the next book in this series, Second Chances.   I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

I was given this book by author Evan Grace for an honest review. This is book 1 of the Starting Over series by the author. Growing up with 2 older brothers isn't easy for Bellamy let alone having feeling for their best friend Luke. After 6 years away from home and Luke she was finally going to tell him about their daughter Rose but a few turn of events causes problems and heartache for them. Bellamy is a strong female character  but you can tell her emotions are all over the place and raw when it comes to Luke. Luke never planned to get involved with Bellamy but after being together 1 night he didn't want it to happen again since he considered her a little sister and you can feel his pain also in the story line.  These characters mesh well together and the story is touching that it just makes you want more. The flow of the story was very well written and the author does not take you down a dead end road with any part of the story. This is a great read for any romance reader who loves a story like this and you won't want to put it down once you start reading it.

This book will keep you guessing from start to finish. A great romance that has passion, drama and suspense. It will leave you turning page after page. After one wonderful, amazing, life altering night with the love of her life, Bellamy Carmichael leaves home and stays away for 6 years. She’s returning now for two reasons: to see her brother before he deploys, and to finally get some closure. Bellamy knows she has to tell Luke the truth about what happened 6 years ago so that she can finally move forward, but she also knows it’s going to be one of the hardest things she’ll ever do. As soon as Bellamy sees Luke, her old feelings resurface and the sparks start to fly. But the secret she harbors is enough to keep them apart forever. As soon as Luke sees Bellamy again, he knows that his attraction to her is just as strong as it ever was. He also knows he owes her an apology, a big one. As Luke and Bellamy spend time together, it becomes obvious to everyone that they belong together. But when Bellamy’s life becomes in danger, things all of a sudden get a lot more serious. How can Luke protect her physically and emotionally at the same time? How can they spend so much time together without falling in love? And will the secrets between them bring them closer together or push them further apart? What an amazing book by Evan Grace. These characters suck you in and just seem so life-like that before you know it, you look down at the clock and you’ve been reading for 5 hours! The storyline is so touching, passionate, and suspenseful that you feel drawn to them, desperate to get to the end and find out how everything concludes, yet you know there is no way you can just skip to the end to satisfy your curiosity, there is just so much that goes on, on each page that you have to read it all! Bellamy and Luke’s story is such a tragic one, but fortunately, they do get the chance to start over and the love, passion and romance between them is so moving, so powerful, you just can’t get enough. Loved this book so much, and I cannot wait for the next in the series! Rating: 4.5 Heat Rating: Steamy Reviewed by AprilP Courtesy of My Book Addiction and More

I have to admit, I didn't realize just how deeply I had gotten sucked into this story, until I happened to glance up at the clock. OMG. 3 a.m.! I seriously had to force myself to put it down. There are so many ways that this book pulls you in. The emotions sneak up on you and out of nowhere have tears sliding down your face. The close relationships shared between so many characters in the book are heartwarming and very real. Evan Grace makes these people so real and gets the reader so invested in them as friends and family that you actually miss them once you get to the end. Awesomeness!! Donna Cheatle

Really enjoyed this books and can't wait for the 2nd one in the series.  I sure hope there are more than 2 books - want to know the stories of  the others in the book - especially Dylan.

You need to like Evan Grace's writing style to appreciate her books... Her men are a little too over the top for me but I can't say I didn't enjoy the book.. I have read the first two of the trilogy (maybe more) and the third, Bad Girls Don't Marry Marines, is coming out soon... I did like the first two well enough that I pre ordered the third... Good but not great!!
