Very original and creative fantasy story set in modern times. It was an easy read with a lot of excitement, fun, and even a little heartbreak. The characters, although supernatural, are very relatable and funny! The needed background information was not long-winded and was easy to get through and understand. You cant help but to love the main character with all of his flaws but loving personality AND the snarky werewolf of course. I am interested to see where the next books will take the reader on this rollercoaster of a ride, navigating through the very intriguing idea of the enmeshments of angels and demons and everything in between.

I saw a link for this book on a facebook page, Paranormal Book Club. It seems to be a nice group of girls out to help both indi authors and big time authors. At first I was afraid to read. Indi authors always scare me, expecially when its their first book. After little research, I found this authors webpage and information. All of making them seem both passionate and proud of their work, which is to be expected. Being that it was free for a short time, I saw little loss and caved in. Boy, was I glad that I did! It was most definetly something I have never read or come across before. New, fresh, exciting... this book needed a little work, but for a first time author I am giving it five stars. The characters(which make every story wonderful)were just, wow! they were lively, fun, naughty and real. I cannot stress that enough! Real! I felt like this world could really exist within our own. Angel is by far my favorite character I have ever gotten the chance to read about. There were so many characters and all of them shinning with possibility. This book is part of a series, yet, if you want to stop with this book you are able to. Because it has an ending, yet you know that there is more to come. I have to say, that this author has what it takes. I will follow her just to see how far she goes. Bravo! Bravo! I am officially a fan and I would say, try it. Read this book and discover what I have by just taking a chance. It was worth it.

I got this book and started reading it at the behest of a friend. He said he knew the author personally and wanted my feedback. The characters are very believable and they are easy to relate to. I caught myself thinking some of the exact same things when they would say or think it. Even though there are supernatural characters who are immortal, they seem to live real lives, and say and do real things. It has been a refreshing change for me to have characters that think and act like normal people facing big challenges. Natasha has written a true gem in my opinion and I will be looking for her next book to see where she takes this rag tag group of misfits next.

Time flew by while getting to know Angelique Le'Count, in a good way. Starving Blades is a good read that kept me wanting to turn the page to see what details would be revealed about Angel and to see what would happen next. The characters were great, the dialogue was convincing without being monotonous, and the pacing of the story was very good. I was definitely drawn in till the end. I look forward to seeing the characters introduced in this book grow and take on a life all their own.

I was scrolling through my facebook one day and i saw a posting about this book. I decided to go ahead and give it a read. At first, i had a hard time getting into it, but i kept going. Once the story really kicked in, with the backstories and explaining who all everyone wass, i was blown away. For a female author, i think Natasha did a great job writing from the perspective of a man. I am really interested to read more from her.

This book seems to have been written by two people. The first half is very confusing and does not describe effectively all the background info on the lead “Angelique”. It takes time and effort to make it through the 1st third of the book. But, after making it through the maze of confusing thoughts and fine points, it seems that someone else takes on the task of finishing the tell. Thank Goodness! The last 2thirds of the book move along fairly well. I even started enjoying the characters and their roles, both past and present. My last disparagement of this book is the author. This book is fairly new. So, the author should be proud and push this book as much as possible. I gather, from the little that I have read from the website and face book page associated with this book, she has completely forgotten this book and is all about getting you sold on the future. It is as if all she has to say is ok, read this one, its here you might as well, but wait till the better books come out. I just get the vibe that there is no passion for the story here but what it can get the writer.
