after reading this book, “State of Mind 2.0” by Christopher Pinckley I thought the best aspect of it was how the principles it teaches and the helpful tips and suggestions can benefit so many people on some level, one way or another, regardless of where they are in life or where they came from or what they do. Clear and coherent chapters focus on different angles of handling situations, obstacles, problems, conflicts, and recognizing how to best assess the situation and steps on how to change it for the better with strategies that are well defined and easy to follow. I thought the whole book was excellently written and quite inspiring, and I liked that it actually gives some solid solutions and tools that are easily managed, and that can make a huge difference in our success. I was interested the whole way through and felt the whole thing from the formatting to the editing to the information was very professional and delivers a valuable message suitable for readers of almost any age. A great addition to the self-help genre.

I always go into books like this with a fair bit of skepticism, wondering truly if there will be any new, insightful information brought to the table that isn’t some gimmick, or worse— an insult to my intelligence and common sense. So as I started reading “State of Mind 2.0” I was fully prepared to see the same red flags, set the book down and call it a night. (I never claimed to be an open-minded guy). So imagine my surprise as I started in with the reading and was struck by how real and informative and just honest it all seemed. I was especially interested in how the author takes common obstacles that hindered productivity and greatness and offers clear, almost profound solutions. The ideas presented here aren’t some abstract notions, but something each of us can do… sometimes it just takes knowing that thinking a certain way can change so much of how you feel inside, no matter your situation. While I won’t claim that everything in this book was for me, I was impressed (to my surprise) with how down to earth and relevant it was. The information here will help many people if they listen to what the author is saying. An excellent read that I recommend without hesitation.

I really liked the outline and overall construct of “State of Mind 2.0" by Christopher A. Pinckley. It was a practical read based on the author’s professional experience as a coach who helps people at the highest levels achieve even more greatness, and also helps people to understand some issues better and hopefully overcome professional (and personal) challenges. It is a very engaging read because it’s not just lecturing or facts and figures, but relevant situations and interesting scenarios where the author breaks down his points and uses them in real-world situations that we can all easily understand and apply. Thought the format had great flow and helped to keep me interested throughout. Perfect editing and is fast paced - I read the whole thing in one evening, and it was as entertaining as it was informative. Great job!

4.5 stars What I like about this book, “State of Mind 2.0” by Christopher A. Pinckley is that it isn’t preachy, and the author doesn’t come across as some arrogant know-it-all that so many of these types of books seem to attract. Instead he clearly and articulately discusses his points on how to improve productivity with probing questions and insightful answers that broadens our perspectives and makes us think. Not only is it very interesting to read and digest, but it is also very intelligently and coherently constructed in a way that truly engages the reader with thought-provoking questions and real life examples that further illustrates the points he is making. It is so easy to read, like a really smart friend are talking to you and you just want to keep listening. Inspiring and relevant, I definitely recommend this book for anyone looking to make a positive change in their life. Glad to see this author has several more books – will be interested in checking them out. Suitable for teens on up.

this book by Christopher A. Pinckley was terrific! Once I started reading I didn’t want to stop until I’d finished the whole thing—It was all I could do though not to rush it… this isn’t a “quick-easy beach read” by any stretch, but more like something you sink back with for a while and let it take over your mind and soul. I enjoyed the author’s narrative “voice” and style of writing – really easy to get lost in. The various concepts were intelligent, well-developed and easy to relate to, and the various ‘true life’ angles and examples made it all the more applicable and easy to understand. I have to commend the author on the way he managed to teach great lessons with an inspiring message, but doing so in a way that felt so relatable to everyone, no matter where they come from- culturally or religiously or economically. Even if you don’t aspire to be a billionaire or in the top 1% of ‘successful’ people, EVERYONE could use tools to be stronger instead of weaker, and perhaps looking at things in a new way that will improve your life no matter what you do. Hats off for making such deep and profound observations about a wide range of things, supporting and demonstrating the precepts clearly, and presenting the whole thing in a highly readable and engaging manner. Chuckled a few times and agreed with several points and had more than one profound epiphany! Different from many books that I’ve read, and I really enjoyed it… Highly recommend to fans of self-improvement, motivational and communication books.

I really enjoyed and appreciated this book, “State of Mind 2.0…” by Christopher A. Pinckley, and I’m glad I read it, as it was one of those books that genuinely makes you feel like a better, stronger, more enlightened and empowered person for having done so. I thought it was excellently written with near flawless editing and pacing and formatting. It kept my attention from the intriguing opening to the satisfying and inspiring ending, and I liked how it is a mix of vignettes and ideas and ‘lessons’ with ‘integration’ to really drive the points home, not just straight lecturing narrative and facts, which can be dry and boring. Pinckley does a great job of carefully developing the various concepts so that we the readers are totally immersed in the points he makes, and I like how me will make an argument for something and then follow through with real life examples (past or present). This is a fabulous well researched and written book that almost anyone can benefit from in some form or another. Recommend to fans of self-help/ inspirational books where you actually feel like you learned something useful that you can apply in your everyday life right now. Would love to read more of his books!
