Why doesn't anyone ever STAY?

Fair Warning ... This isn't a sappy romance. It's not sweet. It's far from anything you would want to imagine. This is a story to leave you feeling dirty.
Are you willing to stay the course all the way to the end?

Nothing about us is normal.
Nothing about us is natural.
Can love ultimately be defined in such ways, truly?
This is our story.
He is a hitman, the very one who took my family the night that changed us both forever. Something in my eyes stopped him from killing me. Something in my eyes called out for him to take me.
At ten, he captured me. At fifteen, he consumed me. And at eighteen, he owned me.
Outsiders think he's my father ... That is so far from the truth.
Our twisted desires fuel the darkness that lies deep inside us both. My innocence never existed, and he takes me as I am.

Contains adult content not suitable for readers under the age of 18. This is a dark romance, psychological thriller - you've been warned. This is part one of the Love in the Dark Trilogy.*

About the Author

Chelsea Camaron is a USA Today bestselling author who was born and raised in coastal North Carolina. She currently resides in southern Louisiana with her husband and two children, but her heart is forever Carolina day dreaming. Chelsea always wanted to be a writer, but like most of us, let fear of the unknown grab ahold of her dream. Finally, she realized that, if she was going to tell her daughter to go for her dreams, it was time to follow her own advice. When she’s not spending her days writing, you can find her playing with her kids, attending car shows, going on motorcycle rides on the back of her husband’s Harley, snuggling down with her new favorite book, or watching any movie that Vin Diesel might happen to be in.

Well I really wasn't expecting this one! It was very good writing and the plot had NO drawn out pages many authors add to justify charging more. It was a wham, bam slam dunk. As an Italian, the first epilogue was the ONLY one that made sense. Angel was her fathers' daughter, after all. I really hope this is not the only collaboration of these authors. It is so wonderful to see strong survivors!

An ultimately sad tale of redemption. I like the 2 epilog options. Whether you prefer an ending of revenge or healing it's readers choice. During the story there are some themes that become too repetative. It could have used a better edit. I will stick to this authors upbeat stories from now on.

I found this book by chance at a signing I attended in July. The author cautioned me about the content, but that only intrigued me further and I purchased a copy. The warning in the beginning of this book reminded me about the author's words and set the tone for the story and its twisted path. I felt for Fallyn and all the pain and darkness that she endured at the hands of her father. Being saved by Giano really changed her life for the better and, although some would see it as unnatural, I could understand her growing feelings in her situation along the way. There was a certain beauty to be found in her life with Giano and what could possibly grow out of it. As the truth about her past slowly came to light, there were no simple answers about what she should do with her future. I found myself torn by what I hoped for her as well. As the conclusion of the story played out before me, I was made speechless by the events. I was appreciative for the two epilogues so that I could choose one with which to make peace with the end of the book. This was a fantastic read and I hope that Chelsea Camaron will create more books similar to this one. In the meantime, I will be sure to check out some of the books in her other series.

Did not like this story. Two endings is stupid.

Such a great read but wish there had been a different way to end the book
