This is book is about caring and respect. Too often children come from outside and go straight to the kitchen and open the fridge, or touch food on the table without washing their hands first. I found cooking to be relaxing and unbelievably it helps me to relieve a little stress. The worst thing for me is when I get home from work, I like to sit and relax a bit then go in the kitchen and prepare a meal everyone coming at me saying, mom what are you cooking? No, I do not like people standing, looking over my shoulder while I am cooking. Maybe one can relate the balancing act of taking care of family and not forgetting to take care of yourself.
