*Copy provided by Netgalley for an unbiased review. I don't read a lot of romances, especially contemporary ones. But I've read a couple of Sharla Lovelace's and I enjoyed them both quite a bit. This one has interesting, likeable characters whose backstories unfolded in flashbacks. Her characters always have a "voice" that I very much enjoy and relate to, and I especially enjoy the sense of humor she brings to her books. I wasn't quite sure how this one would turn out, and that's something I particularly enjoy (but seldom find) in a romance. Overall a very enjoyable read for me.

Great book except difficult and distracting with all the F bombs. Seriously it was just plain annoying - otherwise a good read.

Savi is trying to get her groove back. Her daughter is off to school, she has a super cute dog named Gracie, A perfectly hot Veterinarian named Duncan that she is dying to get into the sheets and her heart. Everything seems perfect right???? Definitely not. This romance novel is great there are many twists and turns. Everyone has a skeleton in their closet and Savi even has an ex or 2 lurking around! I lliked that this book had many layers. You got some of everyone's story without things getting murky or confusing. I kept turning page after page until it was done. Great book, must admit the ending surprised me big time

I received a copy of this book via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review Savi was hot for the new vet in town. She was nearly out of excuses to take her lovable mutt, Gracie, in to the clinic, just so she can talk to him. During one of those visits, amidst her nervous rambling, Savi asks Duncan, the sexy vet, out for coffee. Things get extremely complicating and confusing after that. Her first love and the man who broke her heart ten years prior is back in town, as suddenly as the way he left. Ian is also her sister's brother in law, who will be helping out in his brother's butcher shop, which is across the street from her father's business at which she works. So basically he will be hard to avoid, especially since he is determined to explain why he left. So with a blossoming relationship, an old flame that wants to rekindle, possible changes that threaten life as she knows it and alarming allegations... Savi has to try to figure this puzzle out as well as determine which man is the one for her.

This book has elements of everything I look for in a book. I couldn't put it down, laughed out loud, got a bit teary eyed and really wasn't sure how the love triangle would play out. I typical don't like books that involve choices between romantic partners but this one really worked for me. I loved every character and would recommend this book whole heartedly.

Growing up, Savanna Barnes was a wild child, living life to the fullest and taking no prisoners, and Ian McMasters was her willing partner in crime. They were everything to each other, best friends, partners, lovers. But Ian betrayed Savi in the worst possible way, leaving her broken and untrusting, determined to live a life that did not include love and commitment. But Savi is not dead, and can still appreciate Duncan Spoon, hot veterinarian, killer chef, and the sexiest guy around. She's dying to spend some sexy time with him, and it looks like she's about to get her chance. Then, suddenly, Ian is back in town, and Savi isn't sure anymore what her heart wants. I absolutely adored this book. There are equal parts nostalgia, romance, and intrigue, with plenty of hot and sexy times. Duncan, oh, my goodness, Duncan. He is pretty much everything that any hot-blooded woman could hope for. Ian, on the other hand, is trouble with a capital 'T.' He's Savi's kryptonite, and, even though they are explosive together, they are absolutely not good for each other. Waiting to see who Savi would ultimately choose had me flying through this book. There is a well-crafted secondary storyline intertwined with the love triangle which completely held my interest. The supporting characters are realistically and lovingly written, and add so much to the story. That Savi is able to navigate her life with humor and sass, and not completely lose her mind makes reading 'Stay With Me' a real pleasure. I absolutely recommend this book, and am looking forward to reading a lot more from Sharla Lovelace.
