Bartender Mick Atwell has one more commitment before he leaves Magnolia Bay for Colorado: help his best friend, Tim, get his new wine bar POUR ready in time for its Valentine's Day grand opening. But when Tim's little sister Lucy breezes into town unexpectedly from New York for a visit, Mick doesn't see how they'll keep to their tight schedule--any more than he sees how this beautiful, spirited woman could possibly be the same irresponsible "kid" Tim has been complaining about for years...

Despite her carefree smile, Lucy Waverly hasn't come back to Magnolia Bay for a vacation--she's come home to hide. After discovering her boss at the gallery is selling forgeries, she needs to lay low and figure out a plan to get herself out of this dangerous mess--a plan which can't include falling for her brother's sexy best friend, no matter how safe he makes her feel, or how his smoldering eyes turn her inside out.

Mick has one foot out the door, but when Lucy's troubles follow her to Magnolia Bay, they are thrust together to keep one step ahead of danger and get POUR open in time. Soon the man who lives by his plans is wondering if the woman who lives by chance may not be worth breaking his rules for.

I was so happy to read Mick Atwell’s story! We find him at the new wine bar Mick and Tim are going to open. Tim’s sister Lucy decidedly left her job at the art gallery in New York. Tim has to leave for a couple days but has asked Mick if she can stay with them. What they do not realize is that she left the job in a rush and is in hiding. When Tim becomes stranded and Mick finds out just why Lucy left, he realizes he needs to protect her. Will Lucy’s boss Franco come looking for her and if so, just how upset will he be with her? I loved reading his story!! It was a bit steamier than I enjoy as I prefer more of the “sweet” type of story. I did feel the contact between Lucy and Franco was rushed. Overall though, I really enjoyed this book!

I love the town of Magnolia Bay. So excited that we get a story of Mick, who we met in a Very Married Christmas as the bartender. Mick is helping his good friend, Tim opening a wine bar when Tim's sister shows up. Lucy has come to Magnolia Bay to hide out from her boss. Lucy helps Mick getting the bar ready for the big opening. There is an immediate attraction between them. Mick is not looking for a relationship, plus this is his best friend's sister. Loved how their relationship grew. This is packed full short story, but really enjoyed the characters. My favorite part was the wine tasting. I highly recommend for a sweet Valentines Day read.

**I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review** Mick is helping his friend Tim open a restaurant before he hits the road again--one complication, Tim's sister shows up. Lucy's on the run from her boss. She has something her boss wants, he's running a counterfeit art business, and thinks she can hide in her hometown. As Lucy and Mick work together to get the wine bar opened, they find attraction. With danger on the horizon, Mick helps Lucy, and after he saves her, he still walks away from the relationship--because it's not in his plan. Lucy goes back to her life in New York, but one night when she opens the door for her take-out order, she finds Mick is back and ready for life in New York, with her. Absence does make the heart grow fonder.

Stealing Hearts by Erika Marks is a quick, enjoyable read set in the fictional town of Magnolia Bay around Valentine's Day.  Mick Atwell is in town to help his friend,Tim, open up a new business-a wine bar and to get it up and running by Valentine's Day. With Tim having to go out of town, Mick is left in charge. Then who should show up but Tim's sister, Lucy Waverly(who is on the run from her boss). Having heard that Lucy is a screw-up from Tim, Mick is not so enthusiastic to have Lucy around but Lucy has other ideas. You really need to read the book to see how Lucy finds herself, why she's running from her boos, what Mick's story is and to see how Mick and Lucy get to their HEA. Another good book by Erika Marks and Tule Publishing.

Erika Marks takes us back to Magnolia Bay, a small town filled with interesting characters in Stealing Hearts.  Tim and Mick are in a race against time to get their wine bar POUR open in time for their grand opening Valentine's Day party.  When Tim's younger sister Lucy shows up out of the blue for a 'vacation' and Tim is away on business, things really heat up in Magnolia Bay.  Lucy has more going on than anyone would think...but determined not to interfere with the opening of POUR, Lucy keeps her secrets.  With Tim stuck out of town, she digs into help Mick in whatever way she can. Mick has no intention of staying in Magnolia Bay.  His plan is to leave as soon as Tim has POUR opened.  Tragedy in his past has kept him closed off with no ties or commitments, and no desire for either.  He didn't count on the attraction he feels towards his good friends sister.  He's determined to ignore it, but Lucy is just as determined to make Mick see her as more than Tim's little sister.  As things heat up between them, the danger Lucy is running from is catching up to her.  As the relationship between Mick and Lucy deepens, so does the danger...Will Lucy be safe?  Will two people both running from something be able to stop long enough to see what's right in front of them and give it a chance, or will it be time for both of them to move on? Stealing Hearts is a fast paced and the story is the perfect length.  I was never bored, but eager to see what would happen next not only between Lucy and Mick, but everything else about them.  Lucy is sassy, determined, and she doesn't get enough credit for all she is!  I like how she keeps going and trying.  Mick stole my heart even if he does try to stay remote.  Erika drew me in with these likable, believable characters. I liked the blend of real life problems, relationships, romance and suspense in Stealing Hearts.  These kept things lively and help my interest.  Lucy and Mick are the main characters, but Lucy's brother Tim is a strong secondary character and I liked how the three of them interacted.  You could feel a connection between them all and nothing was overly dramatic which I really liked! I really like the setting of Stealing Hearts, and if you haven't read any other Magnolia Bay books Stealing Hearts can easily be read as a stand alone. I'd recommend Stealing Hearts to romance readers who like the thrill of romance and some suspense in a small town setting.

An exciting and passionate story. On the run and hiding from her boss, Lucy Waverly is back home in Magnolia Bay to stay with her brother Tim. Little did she know her brother had a friend staying with him. A hot friend at that. She also had no idea her brother planned to go out of town and leave her alone with this hot friend. But she needs a safe place to stay, so she stays there. Mick Atwell doesn’t stay in one place for long. He picks up construction and bartending jobs to support himself in each new town that he moves to. As soon as he finishes setting up Pour, his friend’s new wine bar, he will be on his way to Colorado. How will he be do his job and keep an eye on Tim’s little sister? He only has a few days before the big grand opening and so much to do. When Lucy’s boss tracks her down, it’s up to Mick to make sure she is safe. By safe, he means keeping an eye on her and no fooling around. But Lucy is one hard to resist woman especially when she starts making advances at Mick. I loved this story. It has everything to keep you interested. I didn’t want to put it down.

Lucy Waverly is shocked when she discovered that her boss isn't what he seems. When he threatens her life, she runs home to her brother, Tim. Magnolia Bay is a small Southern town filled with caring people and gossip. It's good to be home. Or is it? Mick Atwell is a sexy bartender helping her brother open his new wine bar. They have immediate chemistry. What will he think when he learns why she really came back? Mick may seem carefree, but he carries pain and guilt in his heart. Lucy has always been free spirited. Now she wants people to see her as a competent woman. I wanted these two opposites see that they needed each other and to trust in love. Magnolia Bay is a beautiful romantic setting that showcases their romance. The townspeople add to the charm and in the case of Camellia Bloom the drama. The dialogue is humorous and snappy. This story is filled with passion, romance plus a touch of danger. I enjoyed watching Lucy find herself and her true love. Stealing Hearts is a perfect Valentine treat.

This was a cute story to read. There are some sad scenes to equal out the happy ones. Erika chose a great story line and the best people to carry it out. Mick was helping his friend Tim get ready for his wine bar to open. Tim's younger sister shows up just as Tim has to leave for a day. He makes Mick look after Lucy. Spoiler here. She worked for an Art Studio until she finds her boss dealing in forgeries! She has come home to be safe. Spoilers here. Mick falls for her and it is reciprocated. Mick lost a former girlfriend and he is afraid of Lucy. Another big spoiler here. I won't tell the end of the book. Please decide to read this book. It is a short read. I have found more new authors from Tule Publishing. You can find them too.  I have this book for an honest review for NetGalley.
