Ursula Kroeber Le Guin was born in 1929 in Berkeley, California. Her first story was rejected by a science fiction magazine—back when she was 11 years old. These days, she has become one of science fiction's most critically acclaimed authors, known for her popular Earthsea fantasy series as well as her children’s books and short stories.

The title is a bit misleading, but works extremely well with the contents. You are on a voyage to improve your writing skills. The exercises at the end of each chapter provide you with a fun but useful way to help to improve your story writing ability. Good for either a beginning writer or a review for a published story teller. Get your pencil out and have fun.
Way the most readable book on writing I've ever read. Le Guin's wit combined with all kinds of useful tips on writing narrative, make it a book to keep around and enjoy over time.
This book is awsome, Le Guin helped me on how to change topic to other topics smoothy. The excerises are in the book, helps you to concentrate on your goal. It makes you want to be better in writting.
