About the Author

Kat grew up in the Midwest for the majority of her life. Being asthmatic while living on a horse farm, she tended to stay inside during much of the haying, which led to her acting out stories which led to writing them. Any time the hay was not being harvested she was outside playing. Mostly 'war' with her older brother.

Being an author, along with 'world traveler', has been the only thing she wished to ever be paid to do, though she has succumbed to working other jobs such as retail and waitressing. She wasn't half bad at being a waitress but retail she found rather boring.

After living in Ireland, Spain and France she now resides in Texas with her three girls and her husband, who stalwartly puts up with all the ladies in the house.

Kat views life as one story after another. Each person has their story and each one is valid. Even if presented in fiction, there is something to be learned from each story.
