This is a true story of cruelty. Its beginnings were subtle, but the result - a relentless descent into emotional darkness - left its victims a legacy of shame, guilt, and heart-filled rage. In graphic detail, this is a story of horrific sexual abuse and eventual rape - a vivid portrayal of the constant misery and nightmare lives of a wife and her children betrayed by the "man" of the house. Loathing the life they had, their struggle to survive is captured in the distressing journal notes from mother, daughter and son. Yet 'Stepping out of the Darkness into the Light' proves that a woman's intensity of strength can stop the vicious cycle of abuse and bring to an end the unspeakable life she and her children long endured.
