If you love mcqueen, do not read

Tom Bosley did not play Natalie Woods father in Love with the proper stranger, he was her boyfriend! If I wanted to read about Clint Eastwood or Paul Newman I would have bought their biography. I did not learn much about Steve McQueen, only what Neiles memoirs said.

I grew up in Hollywood in the 40s and 50s. The motion picture business played a major part of my life... Marc Eliot is one of finest biographers of this period. I believe Steve McQueen is one of his best works........It is extremely well documented, and complete. This is a must read for anyone who is interested in the motion picture industry. It is an outstanding book in every way.

Although I thought this book talked too much about things that were not related to McQueen's life or that I felt was not necessary to write about (such as who directed what etc.) the book was good. I was very surprised how Steve McQueen's attitude and bossiness changes throughout the book. Still thought Steve was a great actor and have all of his movies. Cottonone
