Harvard Law School graduates Edward and his friend Jonah, take a job with a big New York City law firm. Edward has two weeks to settle things at home; however, his father has already made plans for him at the small-town bank. Obstacles occur to prevent him from leaving- his "surprise" interview with the new bank president; his sister's unhappy engagement, wedding.
