Ace Collins wrote Stories Behind the Great Traditions of Christmas in 2003 however, I recently discovered it in our high school library display. As a teacher, I have the opportunity to preview many books. This one is a well written jewel.Twenty-six chapters in two hundred pages make it a very informational, yet fun read. I am buying several copies for gifts for the people I think have everything or enjoy learning something new about a holiday we thought had been comercialized. The Twelve Days of Christmas was one of my favorite chapters. I had no idea what was behind the symbolism of the partridge in a pear tree.Read the book and Enjoy the Season.
