New York Times Best Selling author Michelle A. Valentine is a Central Ohio nurse turned author of erotic romance of novels ROCK THE HEART (2012), ROCK THE BAND (2013) and ROCK MY BED (2013). Her love of hard-rock music, tattoos and sexy musicians inspired her BLACK FALCON series.

I'm a wife, mother and avid a lover of all types of books, but romances are my main favs. My husband likes to say reading is my obsession but I just say it's my passion... there's a difference. I decided to take the leap from just reading romance to writing it and by debut novel, Picking up the Pieces will be released this summer.

From a rock music journalist to a New York Times & USA Today bestselling author for The Pact, Where Sea Meets Sky, The Artists Trilogy series, and over 20 other books, Karina Halle has seen a lot of the world. Luckily, all the years of dabbling in different careers and traversing the globe has given her the perfect background for her stories. Whether it's writing horror romance, romantic suspense or contemporary romance, Karina manages to combine very real people and relationships with very edgy circumstances. When she's not writing about flawed characters or chilling situations, you can find her on Salt Spring Island, BC, drinking wine in her 1920's farmhouse with her husband and their adopted pitbull.

USA Today bestselling author Nina Lane writes hot, sexy romances and spicy erotica. Originally from California, she holds a PhD in Art History and an MA in Library and Information Studies, which means she loves both research and organization. She also enjoys traveling and thinks St. Petersburg, Russia is a city everyone should visit at least once. Nina's books include the bestselling Spiral of Bliss contemporary erotic romance series, AROUSE, ALLURE, and AWAKEN, and the smutty, dark, and twisted THE EROTIC DARK and THE EROTIC LIGHT.

Fantastical realm dweller Madeline Sheehan is the USA Today bestselling author of the Undeniable series and Shut Up and Kiss Me. More of her published works include: The Holy Trinity series, and the Thicker Than Blood series (Thicker Than Blood and Beneath Blood and Bone). A Social Distortion enthusiast, and fan of anything deemed socially inappropriate, Madeline was homegrown in New York, where she can still be found engaging in food fights and video game marathons with her husband and son.

Karen Avivi is never bored. If the weather is nice, it’s almost impossible for her to stay inside. Karen has tried surfing, skydiving, scuba diving, stunt classes, archery, winter camping, orienteering, mountaineering, mountain biking, and she even attempted a bike ramp once but it didn’t end well. If she’s not reading or writing, she’s usually planning a new adventure.

I wrote my first novel, "Kimberly and the Seventh Grade Disaster", when I was thirteen years old. Good thing it never saw the light of day. In the years since, I continued writing stories, earned a degree in creative writing from Concordia University, read a lot of books (some over and over, like Catcher in the Rye), watched a lot of movies, got married and became a stepmom. The Pool Theory is my first novel that strangers are allowed to read. To read more about the book: To read more about me:

Raine Miller has been reading romance novels since she picked up that first Barbara Cartland book at the tender age of thirteen. And it's a safe bet she'll never stop, because now she writes them too! Granted Raine's stories are edgy enough to turn Ms. Cartland in her grave, but to her way of thinking, a hot, sexy hero never goes out of fashion. Writing sexy romance stories pretty much fills her days. Raine has a handsome prince of a husband, and two brilliant sons to pull her back into the real world if the writing takes her too far away. Her sons know she likes to write stories, but gratefully have never asked to read any, thank God! She loves to hear from readers and to chat about the characters in her books. You can contact her at or visit to find out what she's working on now

I havenot read any of the books in this anthology, but I applaud the authors for donating their time and effort to this cause. While I do not have children, I do have nieces, nephews and extended family who could be impacted at any time. Not to mention being a part of the community itself. I hope they raise a lot of money, regardless I am happy to have contributed a tiny piece.
