An eclectic collection of stories, fables, and personal essays, this book will make you look at life from a whole different perspective. You'll laugh at your relatives and the change in your pocket. You'll hide your stapler in the drawer and duck when someone yells, "Fore!" You'll be inspired by the courage of parents, and you'll pray you never grow old. And in between that, you'll learn about Bear Stew, be touched by Mother Nature, and think about the time you spend on earth.

Most of us look in the mirror to see ourselves, this author shows us what we look like through the life of a paperclip, or kernel of corn. I picked up my first copy in the Mad Hatter restaurant. I bought another through BN.com for a friend. The cover looks like the front and back of an envelope. This is an easy read book with lots of different stories. The Chain story captures a nursing home from eye of a resident, I get fruitcake every holiday made me laugh for an hour. You will not look at the change in your purse the same way after you read Pennies. It just a great, creative, collection of stories. You will read it again and again. I hope Mr. Hocutt is working on another.
