It is the first volume of a series which attempts to convert what had been recorded by Sangha, Buddha's disciple monks, in a body of sutras collected as The Chinese Buddhist Canon into colloquial language. As the Canon was written in classic Chinese and the depth of its content is not accessible for many people to appreciate, I did my best to convert this literature into stories which, I believe, was the original format when being told. It is my principle to be as loyal as possible without adding any personal views. The re-writing process is, nonetheless, prone to my personal style of speech and style of storytelling. These transformations mean the stories are no longer strictly the Chinese Buddhist Canon, but they can assist in the understanding of the Chinese Buddhist Canon. This book will take you back to the time when Buddha was alive. Through his discourses with his students and all the events taken place, you will feel like a spectator alongside the road as if you were watching a movie.
