Storm (Storm MC #1)

Storm (Storm MC #1)

by Nina Levine

Madison Cole's family is the Storm Motorcycle Club. Her father is the President and her brother is the VP. She grew up surrounded by bikers, crime and violence. Two years ago she walked away from her family and the world they live in. Her soul was shattered, her heart was broken and she had an addiction she couldn't shake. She picked up the pieces and put herself back together. Now her family wants her back. The club is being threatened and they send a club member to return her home to safety; the one person that could destroy everything she has worked so hard to build.

Jason Reilly has sacrificed a lot for the motorcycle club he calls family. Two years ago he made the biggest sacrifice of all; he gave up the woman he loved for them. Now he is being sent to bring her back and he is conflicted. He thought he was over her but discovers their connection is as strong as ever. Their love was all-consuming, passionate and fiery. It was also their undoing and he doesn't know if either of them is strong enough to battle the demons that ripped them apart, to find love again.

Madison and Jason are brought back together by a force out of their control; one that pushes them to a breaking point. Can they overcome their past and discover a love worth fighting for or will the harsh reality of their world finally and completely break them both?

Has the author ever ridden a bike or been around an MC? I have and I have to say she's seen a lot of bad movies or heard a lot of bad stories. I've ridden for 16+ years with a lot of different riders in a lot of different countries and believe it or not, they  all do NOT curse every other word. Nor do they posture to prove that they're REAL men or treat women any where  close to what is portrayed in this book. Even the honest to god tough guys. I am not saying that there aren't riders like the author portrays but they are NOT the norm.  Don't even get me started on the women riders! Riders people...NOT groupies that want the kind of crap that  they read in books like this. Strong, tough women that can and do ride their own and live the life style. Not all  hot, sex starved women without a thought of their own and can't function without a man.   So...about the book. I was disappointed in the premise of the book and how cliched the story line and  characters were. The author had a great opportunity with this series and I believe that she took the easy,  expected route with it.  The book is centered around an MC and yet you get nothing about the bikes, rides or working on the bikes  except a couple of times where Jason packs Madison around for a quick ride some where.  We did get a picnic/party for the club to celebrate an event but no real depth to flesh it out.   My biggest fault with this book? Where was Madison's bike?! She grew up in an MC and doesn't ride/have her  own bike?! Really?!  Very disappointing! You can get this same story line ( strong woman bows down to domineering man with a lot of gratuitious sex)  in a lot of books out there. I'd advise you to keep looking.

Another great biker romance book! The characters were feisty and entertaining and the plot was full of some serious events but also some really great ones. It was engaging and had my intrigued from the very beginning. I had a hard time putting it down. Jason and Madison have some serious history but its obvious they are meant to be together. They have this electricity that burns between them and despite their problems I felt like they fit together really well. Madison is dealing with some serious issues and has some growing up to do in this story but I really liked how she stepped up and became a better person. She has a great personality and I instantly liked her. Jason (aka. J) is a tattooed and sexy as hell biker who is seriously protective and can be a bit controlling and bossy at times. He is intense but for good reason. The story line was intense at times and caused my emotions to be all over the place but I think that just makes for a great story. This was a really good book and I look forward to more from the Storm MC series. I’m going with a 4 out of 5 stars on this one.

My Rating: 4.5 of 5 ¿¿ It's been two years since Madison Cole walked away from everything she knew, and created a brand new life for herself. No more addiction, no more bikers, no more family, no more Storm Motorcycle Club and no more broken heart. Just a good group of friends, a great job and an awesome roommate. That is, until she gets word that the MC is under threat and the family is afraid for her safety. Despite her protests, they insist on sending someone to collect her. When it is J who walks in the door, Madison's heart almost falls apart again. Jason Reilly, or J, knew this wasn't going to be easy. The way he left things with Madison two years ago guaranteed as much. He was given no choice at the time, but Madison didn't know that. She also had no clue that despite his efforts, he had never been able to get over her. J was as affected by her as he ever was. Now he needs to try and convince her of the danger she is in is real, so she will return home with him. Hearing the young daughter of a friend of hers may need her, is enough to get her on the back of his bike and having her arms wrapped around him again feels damn good! Returning to the Storm MC compound leaves Madison with mixed emotions. She loves seeing some of her old friends, but is not too excited about her reunion with her father, president of the club. Being back also helps stir up the old feelings she discovers she still has for J. Before long their passion flares up as hot and bright as it always was, just as their tempers. Madison can't deny that their connection is as strong as ever, but to find a way forward they will have some fierce battles ahead. When old mistakes, a rival gang and family secrets take their turn in adding fuel to the fire and making life even more complicated, they may be lucky to make it out alive! ***** So FLIPPING good!! Ohhhhh, this is gonna be a good series!! But I'm gonna hate having to wait for the next one...... Now, I love MC stories, generally they deal with hot tattoed bikers, who live mostly by their own rules, and their mouthy irreverent funky women, who appreciate being treasured by such dominant Alpha males, and still maintain pretty strong identities. This story is no different in that respect, except here we have a few variants.  First off, the story takes place in Australia, mostly in Brisbane, which the MC calls home. I love that! Not that it is that much different, but I love those Aussie men, and the idea of a hot Aussie biker is even better!!!!  Secondly, we have a strong independent female lead character, who is willing to make some concessions that go against her feminist instincts/beliefs, in order to create a workable relationship, and do so without losing her individuality or her indepence. Of course she is not the only one to make concessions, big Alpha biker guy makes some of his own. He was raised in an environment where the men don't have accountability to their women, not about where they go, what they are involved with or when they will be back. It's not easy, but compromises are made by both Madison and J. We don't often see a couple separating themselves by setting their own rules, rather than following the MC's..... This is what makes the potential of this series so bloody interesting!!! There are so many directions for it to go in!!  Excellent writing by Nina Levine. Strong, clear, no nonsense language, just the way I like it. No unnecessary frills and ruffles and deliciously hot and sweaty sex!!! Very descriptive, and very raw!! ¿A kick-ass, blistering-hot and intense biker book!!¿ **ARC provided in return for an honest review.**

I liked it, didnt love it. Especially at the end when the author makes you believe one thing and it turns out not to be what you thought. One good thing is that this is a whole book not a part of a book. Not sure if i will be reading the next book in the series.

This was my first Nina Levine book. I have had so many people recommend this series and I am glad I jumped in. I have read a few MC series but not a lot so kind of new to me. Madison is the daughter of the Storm MC President. She walked away from the MC life 2 years ago to get her life under control. She was broken hearted and drinking heavily. Her brother wants her back due to an issue the Storm's are having with a rival club and sends J to bring her back. Since J was the cause of her broken heart neither of them know how to be around each other. The story goes through all that happens between the Storm's and the rival MC. J is trying to keep Madison safe and both are fighting an attraction that never stopped. I liked the characters. I think they both have room to grow which can happen in a series. I like the MC even though they are guys who have done bad things they are basically still good guys at heart. I jumped right into book 2 when I finished this and recommend you do too.

I enjoyed this first book in the "Storm" MC series. I did find that the h, Madison was a bit whiny and somewhat of a pain. J (Jason), on the other hand, was raw, gritty, down and dirty, knowing what was expected of him being in the club. Madison grew up in the club because her dad was the pres. but it seemed like she just kept pushing. She should have known better in some instances. I did feel very bad for her in the last few chapters of the book. I also wanted to feel just a bit more connected to the characters in the story. I would like to read more of this series as MC books are such a great read if this is your genre. From the reviews, it appears that the series gets better. 3 Stars!

This is the first book I read by Nina Levine and loved it. This story was awesome!! I loved the amount of drama and romance mixed into this biker book. I loved how each character had their own original story line. Madison's dad Marcus is the president of the Storm MC and her brother Scott is the vice president. Madison knew that Jason killed a guy who tried to rape her and it lead to her drinking heavily, so she decides to leave and get her life on track. Two years later a close friend is murdered by a rival gang member and Jason [J] is sent to talk Madison into coming home to be under constant protection from the rival gang member. Madison and Jason have a lot of work ahead of them to try and rebuild/fix their relationship. There is some awesome steamy sex scenes in the book. I am looking forward to book 2 in this series!!!!

I kind of had to push myself to finish this one. There were a few big moments where I was surprised, but they fizzled quickly. The main character really got on my nerves. She's always angry and making silly decisions. I had no desire to read anymore, and luckily this one was free.

What a really great way to start this series off. My attention was hooked from chapter 1. Not my first time reading something from this author and it wont be the last. I was completely hooked and I just knew this is one story that I needed to read cover to cover page to page. I was blown away with how much I couldn't get enough. The shock factor really amazed me in every way it could, if anything it made me even more hooked from start to finish. The amount of details and words in this novel are worth every letter. It's a MUST READ!!! ***I received this story for free in exchange for an honest review, see more of my review @ ***
