In this book we are introduced to Brooke and Aiden. Brooke is a witch and magic-shop owner who is having a bit of a run with bad luck. Aiden is a former blacksmith/ Grimm. I have to say Aiden and Brooke had more depth to their characters then the Rhys and Morgan did in the first book. Who by the way show up in this book. Aiden is kidnapped on his wedding day, forced into servitude as a Grimm by a cold-hearted evil fairy princess until the day he willing comes to her bed. Unable to take it anymore he gathers his courage and breaks free from his captors only to be pulled into Brooke's spell. I loved this book but like with the first book I found myself liking the side characters far more then the main characters. They seem to have more personality then the main characters. But that could be just me. I like fun quirky characters. George and Olivia are defiantly fun characters. I also really liked Lurien. He seemed to have honor and depth. I would love him to have his own book. This is a great and fun series to read and I recommend it to anyone looking for a fun charming book to read. L.

I had not read anything by Dani Harper prior to picking this book up. I won it in a Rafflecopter, so I was excited to get my hands on it. I love the mythology behind the book, since I have Irish/Scottish/Welsh ancestry and anything fae is interesting to me. It is your basic typical love story, but with some interesting background.  ***SPOILER*** For anyone who loves animals, I was NOT happy with the animal killing in it. That is all.

The power of magic! Dani Harper has done it again! I stayed up late last night; to finish STORM BOUND her second book in her GRIM series. I really enjoyed reading her fantastic story; it was so much fun to read! I have read her first one Storm Warrior and loved it very much, and this one didn’t disappoint me! I loved her two main characters Aidan and Brooke, also her secondary personage Lurien. When I read the prologue, I immediately knew that I would love to follow their journey set in between two worlds. The tale starts, in AD1124 Wales, as Aidan, is being cursed by a cold hearted faery princess Celynnen, and now decides he only wants revenge on the Queen of the Realm. He will have to live as a Grim, a very large black hound. Meanwhile, Brooke, a modern 21st century witch, owns a magic shop, where she loves to play with magic spells, but one goes wrong! What happened? Aidan suddenly appears in front of her! Lots of ups and downs in their relationship. Will their love survive? Will their magic powers shine forever? Will Brooke be able to help Aidan with her magic? Will the balance in the Faery realm be restored? What will happen to the evil Queen? You need to read the book if you want to know the rest. We briefly meet again her previous characters Rhys and Morgan, a friend of Brooke! Each story is about a Grim, a cursed sexy and handsome man, meeting a modern day woman. This you have to read, if you love fantastic romance with a touch of magic and intrigue. I strongly recommend this book!

NUMBER OF HEARTS: 4 REVIEW:   I had the pleasure reading this book and also getting to listen to on audio.  I just could not pass up the chance to have Justine Eyre read to me.  This was a good second book in Dani’s Grim series.  I really enjoyed all the magic and Welsh mythology in the series.  But there were parts that were a little slow for me.  I felt that the book started off really good then it slowed down a bit.   Right up until Brooke meets Aidan.   I really enjoyed Brooke and Aidan’s relationship and the connection that they have.  Brooke’s cat’s really tried to steal the show with their demanding ways :) .   All in all this was a good book and I am very much looking forward to the next book in this series.  I wonder who it could be?   Maybe a certain Lord of the Hunt?   Disclaimer:  I received a complimentary copy of the book from Montlake & Brilliance Audio in exchange for an honest review. This review is my own opinion and not a paid review.

Black Mountains, Wales - 1124. Aiden was taken on his wedding day by Celynnan who is a Fey Princess. She kills his fiance', binds him as a Grim, and keeps him for almost 1000 years while he resists her without fail. Walla Walla, Washington - 21st Century. Brooke is a witch and owns a shop where she does readings and sells merchandise. She is a strong believer in always doing good. During one of her spells, she unintentionally calls Aiden forth and he changes from Grim back to human. Aiden has sworn to kill Celynnan for what she's done to him over the centuries and for the death of the woman he once loved. Will he be able to accomplish that and still keep the woman he has started to love in this time? Follow along with them in this story of pain, renewal, and hope. There are hurdles to cross and mysteries to be solved. Dani pulled me into her story and kept me turning the times on the edge of my seat.
