Tlaloc, worshipped by the ancient Aztecs as a god of rains, storms and disease, has come to Corpus Christi, Texas, with an ultimatum: He will be worshiped as in times past, including Human sacrifice, or he will destroy the Texas coastline with a hurricane. It’s up to Police Detective Kat Morales, her Elven partner Tevis and the rest of an elite team headed by the Wizard Arvandus to stop Tlaloc before he makes good on his threat. The adventures that began for Kat and Tevis in Shadow Path continue as they race against time, and between worlds, to defeat the Stormcaller.

Stormcaller is another awesome book by P.L.Blair. I loved the first book in this series Shadow Path Once again Tevis the elf and Kat Morales have another set of murders to solve. This time it involves the ancient god Tlatoc who wants to rule the world and make Kat his concubine. Kat, Tevis, Arvandus the wizard, Gairth the love talker (who realizes he is in love with Kat) and Achmed the Djinn must travel to the other world to defeat Tlatoc. In the otherworld, Kat discovers she has developed an ability as a ‘shaper’, which in fact helps them in their quest. They defeat Tlatoc in the other world but must return home to defeat his Avatar there. Once again P.L.Blair has outdone herself with her wonderful story telling, I very much look forward to reading the next in the series.
