This is a delightful, and sprightly illustrated history of the Pilgrims for children. It touches all the bases of the famed story of the Mayflower Pilgrims, from their legendary ship, their difficult first winter, their friendship with the Indians, and, of course, the first Thanksgiving. It is hard to find any shortcomings of the book, as even very serious events, are presented not only factually, but in a way that children will find inspiring. The Pilgrims are about courage and family life, and this book hits all the right notes.
