MONKEY BUSINESS is another wonderful pattern from Ms. Taylor. If she keeps up these fine patterns, I will be busy well into my 80¿s and that is 25 years from now! MONKEY BUSINESS is just what it sounds like ¿ monkeys! This package even has two quilts patterns. The first is a tree FULL of monkeys wearing hats of all kinds such as a top hat, a beanie, a sailor¿s ¿Dixie cup¿, a western Stetson and a hard hat. The bonus quilt is one monkey with a top hat. What fun this will be to make. The packaging is just like the ¿old¿ dress patterns but better. It has a plastic coating and is re-sealable. The pattern will never be lost on your cutting table amid the piles of fabric because you can just tack it up on a bulletin board or tape it to a cabinet. All the templates are full size so you are ready to go ¿ no need to run to the copy store. Mr. Taylor writes the directions in a clear and easy to follow manner. She uses graphics to help explain the directions to make sure you clearly understand her meaning. The materials list is on the back of the package which makes buying the needed fabric easier as you don¿t have to fumble with the paper pattern or the paper from a magazine. Any additional items needed to complete the quilt are also listed. Cutting directions are very clear. She includes quilt making basics and appliqué techniques which will help a beginner or allow a more experienced quilter to brush up on a technique if needed. In my opinion, the BEST part of this (and her other patterns) is her Children¿s literature suggestions section. What better than to make a child a quilt and then read about the theme while cuddled under the quilt!! I am so pleased with this pattern that I have asked our guild to make it as one of our charity quilts for Love and Hugs, a group that helps seriously ill children 0 ¿ 18 years of age. Ms. Taylor has my vote for continuing her pattern designing! I am looking forward to many more.
