Book Revision. Set in the late 60s and in two environments, London and Stockholm. A collection of two short stories and two novellas describes social and personal problems encountered by the four protagonists respectively: David, Charlie, Binky, and Moby – each a fictionalised expatriate from the Caribbean. Themes are dreams, loneliness, alienation, disappointment, and the lack of solidarity are some of the main challenges they face. There is humour to ease the pain. The question is whether this handful of marginal men of colour succeed or fail in their pursuit of a better life.

About the Author
In the early 70s, I became an aspiring writer of short & long stories, a four-act closet drama, and an unfinished novel. I had spent two years then nurturing the ambition to become an author of some repute. But the going was tough, creating a feeling of insecurity for the future. In time, I shelved the idea and got a job as a hospital porter. Later I did a BA (Eng. & Edu.), did a 4-term course for mental-health carers. Then I completed the first of two stages of psychotherapy education and did several short courses in cognitive therapy. I worked in a psychiatric clinic, and retired a few years ago and, after that, I did mental-health counselling.
