About the Author

Jeffrey D. Kaplan advises, publishes, and presents on management issues with respect to innovation and transformation. He brings over three decades of experience, including over 20 years in Private and Public Sector management and technology consulting, as well as 10 years as an IT industry practitioner. His experience is underpinned by a MBA with honors from the University of Chicago with a focus on marketing, production and operations management; and a BS in Computer Science from the University of Iowa.

Kaplan has extensive experience working as a senior executive to drive change. His expertise includes architecture, customer-inspired innovation, development, innovation, operations, risk and service management.

Kaplan has helped organizations dramatically improve business processes through the strategic deployment of technology-enabled investments. He has experience with multiple business areas including engineering, marketing, sales, service, and supply chain. His industry experience spans aerospace, automotive, financial services, chemical, computer and electronic equipment, consumer package goods, defense, energy, government, pharmaceutical, software, and telecommunications. Prior to consulting, Kaplan worked in the IT industry, where he held IT management and practitioner positions in multiple business areas including development, customer management, service provision, vendor and project management.
