About the Author

Born and raised in Southern Delaware, Kelly Meding survived five years in the hustle and bustle of Northern Virginia, only to retreat back to the peace and sanity of the Eastern Shore. An avid reader and film buff, she discovered Freddy Krueger at a very young age, and has since had a lifelong obsession with horror, science fiction, and fantasy, on which she blames her interest in vampires, psychic powers, superheroes, and all things paranormal.

From the synopsis of this book you will see that this is focused around the Para-Marshal and Djinn Shiloh Harrison and the aftermath of being betrayed by her superior, she is thrust into a leadership role that she doesn’t want, and she also has to learn to trust a team member that she traded her memories of to save others lives, and because the Marshal service frowns on that sort of thing, she is forced into paid leave, but of course, Shiloh and her team are not going to sit back and do nothing, so when a west coast Moon witch asks for help with some missing werewolves, they head to California, only nothing is what it seems! Now at the time of writing this review, I haven’t read book one in the series, but that is going to change bloody quickly, as I have become totally obsessed with this band of “strays”, Damien and finding out who inside the U.S. Marshall service is creating this huge cover up! And now I’m at the end of book two, I’m going out of my mind with questions like… will Shiloh get her memory back? will they be able to save Jaxon? who is Kathleen boss? and what happened to the Werewolves? So many questions. Stray Moon is a series book, but totally can be read as a stand-alone, as the author writes in such a way that you miss nothing! And unlike some paranormal romantic suspense books I have read before, this book is extremely well written, gripping and addictive! So much so, that I’m breaking my no series books rule, and Stay Moon has a grip of me, and I’m totally fine with not letting it go!

This was great! This is the second book in the Strays series which picks up just after the events of the first book so I do recommend that this series be read in order. The first book, Stay Magic, is fantastic so you wouldn't want to miss that book anyway. I loved the fact that this book hit the ground running and the excitement held throughout the story. I really enjoyed my time reading this wonderful story. Shiloh and her crew are technically suspended from their jobs because of how their previous assignment worked out. That doesn't stop them from agreeing to help locate a group of missing werewolves in an unofficial capacity along with a member of the West Coast unit. To make matters more interesting, Shiloh cannot remember anything about her former boyfriend and current team member, Jaxon, because her memories were wiped away in a deal she made. This story is told from Shiloh's point of view and I had a great time being in her head. It was great to see how she was struggling with the fact that she had no memories of Jaxon while he worked to deal with learning that he was the person she loved the most in the world. I thought that this aspect of the story was done extraordinarily well and I loved getting the chance to see Shiloh get to know Jaxon all over again. I feel like I got to know both Shiloh and Jaxon a lot better in the process. I thought all of the key characters in this book were very well done. I thought that the story was exciting and the mystery was rather complex. Shiloh and her crew have an interesting set of abilities and I like how well they compliment each other. Shiloh is still learning the full extent of her abilities and I found it exciting to learn what she could do right along with her. There is no shortage of paranormal beings in this book and I find it interesting that really anything could happen at any given time. I couldn't figure out the mystery until everything was revealed which is exactly how I like for things to happen. I found this book to be quite the page-turner and there was at least one major thread that has left me very eager to see what will happen next. I would highly recommend this series to others. I think that this is a wonderfully exciting story filled with fantastic characters in a well-developed world. I cannot wait to see what Shiloh and the crew will be faced with next! I received a digital review copy of this book from Harper Voyager via Edelweiss.

I have read this author this before, and I was very excited to see she had written another series. Here I am at the second book, and I am very glad I picked up this series to begin with. To be honest, I did like the first book slightly better than this second one, but I still loved every second I spent in Shiloh’s world. She is unofficially looking into the disappearance of the wolves that happened in the first book, and while doing so, she uncovers many things, one of which made me gasp out loud. She’s also dealing with the fallout from losing the memories of the one she loves the most which comes into play towards the end. No, I’m not going into any details as I don’t want to spoil anything. I love the characters, the plot, and the writing, and I will definitely be reading the next one, hopefully soon! I highly recommend this book! I was provided the e-book which I voluntarily reviewed.
