Collecting 40 songs together on one set, Street Vibes, Vol. 7 is a weird combination of popular hip-hop tracks, pop songs, and relatively unknown house songs. While this mix may have quite a few hits, especially toward the beginning, after a while it becomes apparent that there are far too many songs on this album. If the album could have been kept down to maybe half the length, it would be a great collection of some of the better contemporary R&B artists of 2000/2001. But unfortunately, this is a hit-or-miss compilation that loses momentum after the first six or seven songs and only occasionally gains it back. Anyone looking to collect these songs without purchasing the full-length albums might want to invest in this, but be warned that there is a lot of filler.
