We've all seen and heard about the food pyramid. We know what it is and have a sense of what it means, but this concise book shows the reader how to (no pun intended) digest it and put it to use in making good food choices for healthy eating. It all makes sense ... and what makes this book different from other diet books (from dieticians, physicians or other so-called experts) is that the author writes it in such a way that one can easily relate to it. It's her personal experiences, but it might as well be ours. Bravo -- and good recipes, too. I'm going to try the cookies this weekend.
This book was fun to read and made so much sense to me. Many of my lifelong questions of eating and weight control have finally been answered. Great recipes at the end make for an easy, healthy, transition!
I am one of the lucky ones, I can actually eat anything and not really gain weight. But that doesn't make me healthy. After reading Judi's book, I actually dragged out our old juicer, hit the store and changed the way we eat in our household. The book itself is inspiring but the recipes and seeing how easy they were to duplicate was a huge help. Especially the recipe for the fiber bread! I highly recommend this book, whether you have had a stroke, have diabetes or just really truly want an eating plan that works, keeps you full and makes you happy (oh and healthy).
Whether your goal is to lose weight or just eat healthier, this book provides the information you need to accomplish your objective in just under 70 pages. This book entertains and informs.
