## I was disappointed in this book. There were several things that bothered me. For one, Emilio's terrible grammar. You don't have to go to college to know that double negatives are wrong. "I don't know nothing", "I ain't worried about that".....that just made Emilio sound stupid. He runs a business with his family and is a certified electrician. I feel the author went overboard on that. Also, Spencer was such a wimp. God, he was worse than a girl. 38 years old, highly educated (Bachelor's, Master's and a Doctorate), good looking, yet he stammers, blabbers, blushes, stumbles and the list goes on. Ugh, it annoyed me throughout. In addition to that, there was no conflict. Sorry, this could've been really good but it missed the mark. Big time.

This is mostly a simple sweet and sexy romance. Two men find exactly what they want in each other.

I absolutely adore Emilio and Spencer. Emilio is such a great character. So outgoing and sure of what he wants. At 22 he is so mature and has his life together. I like how mature he was and how he just went after what he wanted, and by that I'm talking about Spencer. Spencer, dear sweet shy Spencer, he was such a brilliantly written character. His utter cluelessness at the beginning was so endearing. He was so unsure of what Emilio wanted from him, not really believing that Emilio was hitting on him. I like the joy Emilio brought to his life. Emilio's family is full of a wonderful cast of characters. As with most Cardeno's books this is just a sweet straightforward romance, no huge drama's.

I purchased my ecopy of this book, but was gifted my AUDIO copy for review. When twenty-two-year-old Emilio Sanchez sees handsome Spencer Derdinger walking by his construction site, Emilio makes it his goal to seduce the shy professor. Getting Spencer into bed isn’t difficult, but Emilio soon learns that earning the trust of a man deeply hurt will take time and patience. With a prize like brilliant, sweet Spencer on the line, Emilio decides he is strong enough to face the challenge. Spencer is surprised when he’s approached by the gorgeous construction worker he’s admired from the safety of his office window. Acting spontaneously for the first time in his thirty-eight years, Spencer takes Emilio home. When the casual hookup turns into the potential for love, Spencer realizes that if he wants to build a life with Emilio, he’ll need to be strong enough to slay his personal demons and learn to trust again. This has to be my favourite book by Cardeno C, like ever! I have some more to read, but still I loved it! Emilio caught Spencer's eye whilst working across from his office. Emilio caught Spencer watching, and then, just barged his way into Spencer's home, and his life. I loved how Spencer dealt with it all, Emilio, being younger, brasher, more down to earth than Spencer, totally showing that opposites DO attract! I loved the way Spencer and Emilio worked through Spence's issues, and how Emilio's brothers took Spencer in, warts and all. No major fall outs, misunderstandings, or life changing decisions, written in a way only CC knows how, and has mastered in a way others should take note. Its not necessary for the characters to fall out and mess up, sometimes, just getting from A to B is story enough, IF IF IF its told well. Told from both men's point of view, we get an insight into them both, which I really LOVE, mostly, because I like to know whats going on, from everyone. The best bit for me?? The discussion about rings. Loved that scene and stands at one of my all time favourite for ANY author, EVER! This is book two in the family series, but can be read as a stand alone and out of order. Indeed, Asher from book one is mentioned in passing and doesn't feature at all. I would like Asher and Daniel to have made more of an appearance, but still. AUDIO REVIEW Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my audio copy of this book. Okay, OKAY. I take it all back! Ezekiel Robison is OUTSTANDING in this book! I couldn't finish Something In The Way He Needs, and I only liked The Half Of Us, when listening but when asked to review Strong Enough, I knew I had LOVED READING it, so really had to try. Just one more. Just one more time would I give Robison a go. And he NAILED it!! Absolutely freaking NAILED it!! His voices are perfect. His reading voice, clear and even. There is NO, none at all, of the dipping sound I noticed in the other two books. Granted, I did not hear Emilio speaking with a Spanish-y accent when I was reading, but boy did it ever work here! The brothers voices too, were outstanding, and while similar, still different enough for me to make out who was talking in a multi- person conversation. Peter's voice was perfect too, and very much like the slimey voice I heard in my head when reading. Robison portrays both men's feelings, emotions and thought processes beautifully. Spencer's fears and issues. Emilio's brashness and bull-in-a-china-shop attitude. I usually take several days to listen to a book, so

I honestly don't know which of these male leads I prefer - shy and sexy Spencer who has been hurt in the past, or self-confident and sexy Emilio who know what he wants and isn't afraid to go for it. Did I mention that they were both sexy?! The thing I love about Cardeno C's books is that they all have a story. There are steaming hot scenes too, but the overall arc that flows from story to story is romance. I love that! These two may not suit each other at first glance, but the story that has been written for them, is perfect! The story moves along at a steady pace, making the connection between Spencer and Emilio both believable and strong, even when it seems fast. It is well written with no grammatical errors that I found. And each scene is exceptionally easy to imagine, whether it is the layout of Spencer's house or the day with Emilio's family. Another fantastic book that I thoroughly enjoyed! Highly recommended. * I received this book from WLK Book Promotions in return for a fair and honest review. * Merissa Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books!

Actual 4.5 Star Review!!! Strong Enough-Book 2-Family Series by Cardeno C! Emilio has one goal on his mind and nothing will get in his way of getting the hot professor Spencer in his bed. He finds the new task not as difficult as he might have thought but gaining the trust of a man so deeply hurt in the past is not as easy so he has to be patient which really isn't Emilio strong personality trait. Will Emilio be able to complete this challenge of winning over Spencer's heart and trust? Spencer is really taken aback when the hot construction worker – Emilio approaches him as he has always been attracted to the guy. For the first time in his 38 years he decides to throw caution to the wind and take the 22-year-old Emilio back to his place. Spencer realizes that this hook-up might be more then casual sex but an actual love connection. He must now face his past and rid himself of the baggage in order to be open for a relationship with this new man in his life. Cardeno C never disappoints with her novels and this one is no exception and she really knows how to pull at your heartstrings. The way she makes me fall for her characters like Emilio and Spencer. I like how Emilio, even though he is young he knows Spencer is exactly who he's always wanted and won't take no for an answer. Spencer is not like Emilio at all as he's not as confident but when Emilio is around you can see his self confidence growing. I loved that these two very different guys from different worlds jumped right into each other's arms, right from the start. I truly enjoyed Spencer's best friend Maria and the wisdom that she spewed. This was a lovely and beautiful love story between two very different men and the way the author created their love was some brilliant writing. The writing style of Cardeno C is some great writing and her characters were developed with such true honesty as I couldn't get enough of them and their love story. I recommend Strong Enough -Book 2 in the Family series by Cardeno C!!! "Complimentary copy provided by author/publisher for an honest review." Reviewed by Paul at Gay Media Reviews

In this M/M romance we meet the cousin of Asher Perez who we met in book 1. Emilio is a 22 year old electrician who works with his 3 brothers in the family construction business.  Spencer is a 38 year old professor at the college where Emilio and his brothers are adding on to the school. From the minute they meet the sparks fly. The only thing in the way is Spencer has been damaged in his past. He is so damaged his last boyfriend left him because of his problems. Emilio knows he has to go slow to win Spencer ' s trust and love. Will he be able to show Spencer that he is worth loving or is the damage to great for Spencer to be healed? I loved this book both the main characters and all the supporting characters were so loveable except for Spencer's ex, he was a douche.  The sex was hot but not over the top and you could feel the love between everyone coming off the pages. This is definitely for 18+.

a “love-at-first-sight” read Strong Enough is a romance that sucks you in from the first paragraph and carries you through the development of the characters as the book progresses. Spencer Derdinger is a math professor at UNLV who has had a pretty bad hand in life when it comes to romantic relationships, family relationships, and tragic occurrences. Emilio Sanchez is an electrician/contractor who works alongside his brothers in a construction project on the UNLV campus where he falls in love with Spencer at first sight unbeknownst to Spencer. Due to Emilio’s aggressive tactics, the two eventually meet and are inseparable after that. Even though the two are complete opposites (Spencer being timid and 16 years Emilio’s senior) they have an unwavering love that is solidified by Emilio’s need to protect and love his carino. Spencer has a major wall up that is reinforced with years of pain, and we watch Emilio break him down to show that he too can be loved. I had a few favorite scenes in the book, but the following was at the top of my list: (Emilio continues to call Spencer “carino”, so Spencer asks the meaning) “It means darling.” Emilio kissed his way down the side of Spencer’s neck. “Honey.” He licked a long swathe up over his Adam’s apple. “Sweetheart.” He tugged Spencer’s lower lip between both of his. “Love.” Then he pulled back and pierced Spencer with his deep, dark gaze. “Say I can stay, carino.” That scene just made me melt. Also, the pool hall scene was a close favorite (you have to read the book to experience that one). I recommend this book to anyone who wants to experience a “love-at-first-sight” read. This was an amazing book. -Reviewed by Levon
