Stuck in the Suburbs

What happens when two teens take control of their pop star crush's PDA? Naturally, Brittany and Natasha have a plan to reveal the real Jordan Cahill. But, as they soon discover, everything isn't so cut and dried when you're Stuck in the Suburbs. This soundtrack to the Disney Channel film of the same name kicks off with "A Whatever Life," performed by Hilary stand-in Haylie Duff, who's entered the Siblings of Stars Sweepstakes alongside Ashlee Simpson and Aaron Carter. Penned by pro Desmond Child, the song's the usual mix of tickling electronic percussion and treated guitar roar in the chorus, and Duff's everygirl lightness is nearly identical to her sister's vocal style. Fans of the film might be interested in the three Cahill tracks that appear here, even if he's a screenwriter concoction played onscreen by Taran Killam. The "single" "More Than Me" also appears in an "acoustic" version; while only partially unplugged, it's still more palatable than the plastic boy band pap of the other cuts. Stuck in the Suburbs' track list is filled out with entries from Dream Street alums Jesse McCartney and Greg Raposo that amount to advertisements for their respective solo albums.

I really like these songs. Jesse McCartney has a big catch to his song, and Over it is really good. I'm ok with whatever life. but over it and good life are my favorites!

i thought it was cute but it lacked vocal talent. 'jordan cahill' has a good voice but he wasn't useing it to the best of his vocal ablity but i really liked 'over it' by annalise vanderpol.
