I don't fall for the bad boy or try to tie down the commitment-phobe. Nope. Those dating ruts would be understandable. My pattern of hunky male crushing involves falling for gay men.
So when I meet Owen Phillips at a Habitat for Humanity project, a man as sexy as a cowboy drenched in sunset, I refrain from flirting openly. I do my darndest to gauge his interest first.
Unfortunately, after sharing lunches and falling hard for my construction hunk, I catch another man squeezing his fine behind.
Turns out the butt squeezer is Owen's brother, not a lover, and I'm about to embarrass the heck out of myself...

This was a really fun book, with a lot of funny moments, as well as a few emotional scenes as well. I loved that each chapter's title was a word, with both its true definition, as well as a meaning that fit the upcoming situation. I could totally relate to the continuing to develop crushes on gay guys. I've done it. A few times. And one time I had a friend who didn't tell me the guy was gay, hoping I would actually get the nerve up to ask him out, so she could sit back and be amused. Fortunately, I guess, as always I was too chicken-shit to ask the guy out. I really liked Ainsley, she was a lot of fun. And Owen was very sexy, I mean into construction and played soccer and definitely was intelligent. I like how not only did we have their romantic pasts to overcome in this story, but they had incidents they wanted or needed to find a way to fix somehow, or move past. And that only added to the characters and made you root for them even more. I will admit I kind of got a feel for where his ex-wife was getting her ammo before it was actually spelled out. Once I started reading I had trouble putting it down. I loved all the side characters, and definitely have to go back and read book one, Legs, and I look forward to more books in this series.
Emotionally thrilling, sweetly sexy, highly entertaining romantic journey filled with real charters that make you feel they could be your sexy next door neighbor. Ainsley is a riot and I adored her in Legs. She is wicked crazy, fashionably smart and a professional Personal shopper. She loves her job but hats the idea of buying her rich clients mistress gifts and what it might be doing to her personal karma. Her friends give her the idea of giving back by helping on a Habitat for humanity project to try to balance it out where she gets to know Owen (Jimmy's close friend). Owen is back home to start over and work through his messy divorce with out loosing his mind.... loved the back and forth real life drama between them, their off the charts chemistry and quirky sense of humor.
