"Students" - the work of the Russian writer NG Garin-Mikhailovsky (1852 - 1906). The story was written in 1895. This is the third part of the autobiographical tetralogy - "Childhood Themes", "Gymnasium", "Students", "Engineers". The writer paved new paths in Russian prose. He rejected the descriptive, moralizing, psychological aspects. The image of the character of the hero went through business, a picture of life, life and moods of the students. Censorship rejected the novels "Students" and "Engineers." The author belonged to the Social Democrats and the plot of the books was revolutionary, criticizing the autocracy. Peru Garin-Mikhaylovsky also owned such works: "Village drama", "Orchid", "Zora", "Teenagers", "Korean fairy tales".
